MY FIXES LTD – Home Support & Care is expanding our services in Cardiff, and we are looking for caring, reliable and respectful people to join our growing team.
Our aim is to help people remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes, providing person-centred support with dignity and respect.
Position: Part-Time Care & Home Support Worker
Location: Cardiff and surrounding areas
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Hours: Part-time / flexible, including some evenings and weekends
We are looking for applicants who have:
- Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification or relevant equivalent
- Enhanced DBS check for working with adults, preferably on the Update Service
- Previous care or home-support experience
- A compassionate, patient and respectful approach
- Good communication and reliability
- Ability to work independently in people's homes
- Willingness to work some weekends/evenings
- Right to work in the UK
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage
The role may include companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light household support, laundry, shopping/errands, accompanied activities, dementia-aware support and helping people with their daily routines, depending on each person's assessed needs and the employee's training and competence.
We are particularly interested in people who understand that good home support is about more than completing tasks — it is about building trust, respecting people's choices and helping them maintain their independence.

Gary lives alone and was struggling to connect to others in his community. His wellbeing and health were being impacted and when he visited an event held by his GP practice he was put in touch with Jackie, the Local Area Coordinator in South Tyneside.

Jackie spent time with Gary, understanding his life and some of his challenges. She was able to help him get connected and involved in his community and to start to live the life he wanted.
