Leading the climb!

On Saturday FS O’Connor and other cadets across One Welsh Wing attended a Learn to lead climbing course learning how to climb in a whole new way.

“The entire day was such a fun experience with people across south wales. Lead climbing is now my favourite thing to do and I can’t wait to do it again.”

Well done to everyone that went on the course!

AGM!

Last week our squadron had our annual general meeting accompanied by a BBQ and a show around our squadron with stations of what we do.

However with sad faces around we have now said goodbye to Sue Ford who was our treasurer for 15 years. We hope she comes back and sees us.

Our new treasurer Rob Archer was elected and multiple new people to join our civilian committee.

So from 1344 we would like to say welcome to all the new faces and goodbye to Sue Ford!

Drones!

Watch your heads and keep your eyes out because lots of our cadets have just got their drone licences.

Last parade night lots of our cadets were taught about how to be safe and the rules while flying drones.

It was a great night and all that attended also achieved their blue wings.

Well done everyone!

At the start of this month some of our cadets did their Gold DofE Expedition consisting of 4 days of travelling and 3 days of camping.

“It was an amazing experience and such incredible sights to see.”

We can’t wait for you all to get your Gold DofE Badges!

Well done!

Bullseye!

You’d better watch out! This past month, our squadron have been training our very own Robin Hoods. The cadets have tried archery, the first time for some.

Great effort to those who participated. Hope to see you on the range again soon!
