Today we're at the Bwrdd Iechyd Addysgu Powys / Powys Teaching Health Board Nursing & Midwifery Conference, One Team, One Purpose, connecting with nursing and midwifery colleagues from across Powys.

Nicola Williams, Executive Director of RCN Wales, joined Julie Richards The Royal College of Midwives Cymru for a presentation exploring the value, voice and influence of nursing and midwifery.

Every day, RCN Wales members do brilliant work bringing their knowledge and passion for excellent care to their patients and their colleagues.

Today our roadshow pitched up at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and found ourselves next to Helen Hughes (DVT Nurse), Emma Roberts (thromboprophylaxis nurse) and Jane Smith (Thrombosis HCSW), promoting thrombosis awareness and the Let's Talk Clots app from Thrombosis UK.

In her latest blog, RCN King's Nursing Cadets Lead Nurse Rosalind Mabey explores how the Health Care Careers for Displaced People Scheme has helped participants gain confidence, develop employability skills and progress into education, volunteering and employment.

Delivered through partnership working and supported by Health Education and Improvement Wales - HEIW, the programme demonstrates the difference that accessible, inclusive learning can make to people's lives while helping build a more representative health care workforce for Wales.
