What a week!

What a week. đź’™

The best week celebrating Volunteers’ Week, The Big Help Out and The Big Lunch, while also spending time at volunteer fairs with Interlink RCT and meeting with inspiring business and community partners in North Wales.

Across the UK, we’ve seen the very best of community action in practice. From wellbeing activities in Haringey and community walks in Medway, to projects with Trivallis, the Llanelli Railway Goods Shed, Remake the Valleys and so many other incredible partners, communities have come together to make a real difference.

A special thank you to everyone who joined us at Aberavon Beach. Volunteers from Laing O’Rourke, National Grid, BGCW Neath, My Green Valley, Sandfields Community Garden Project, alongside local individuals and families, collected more than 40 bags of litter to help keep our coastline beautiful. Thank you to Keep Wales Tidy for providing the equipment and to Lottie the Lifeguard for judging our sandcastle competition.

A huge thank you also to Zip World for hosting an incredible volunteer day in the Cynon Valley, followed by a fantastic Big Lunch that brought people together to celebrate, connect and recognise the contribution volunteers make every day.

Most importantly, thank you to our amazing volunteers, partners and communities. Your commitment, kindness and generosity are what make stronger, healthier and more connected communities possible.

And finally, thank you to the incredible Tempo team. I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved this week and every week.

Volunteering isn't just “helping out.”

We see every day how much it can mean to people, not just to the communities being supported, but to the person giving their time too.

Sometimes it’s someone rebuilding their confidence.
Sometimes it’s someone realising they still have skills, experience and so much to offer.
Sometimes it’s simply about feeling connected again.

At Tempo, we’re lucky to meet people from all walks of life who give their time in different ways, whether that’s sharing professional skills, helping at local groups, supporting neighbours, listening to others, or just showing up when someone needs them.

And while volunteering makes a huge difference to communities and causes, it often changes something for the person giving time too!

That feeling of “I matter here.”

This Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating every person who gives their time, care and energy to others and who found the feeling of 'purpose' at the same time.

The world feels a little more human because of you!

IT'S VOLUNTEERS WEEK!

We have so many exciting videos to share with you this week, so keep your eyes peeled! đź‘€

Volunteering is kindness in action, and we see it every single day đź’™

It’s people showing up, lending a hand, sharing their skills, supporting their communities, checking in on neighbours, helping at events, or simply giving an hour of their time because they care.

At Tempo, we’re lucky to work alongside incredible people who give their time in so many different ways, and every single contribution makes a difference. Whether it’s years of dedication or one small act of support, it all matters, because every moment shared has value.

This Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating every volunteer, every act of kindness, and every person helping to build stronger, more connected communities.

THANK YOU for everything you do ✨
