What a week. đź’™
The best week celebrating Volunteers’ Week, The Big Help Out and The Big Lunch, while also spending time at volunteer fairs with Interlink RCT and meeting with inspiring business and community partners in North Wales.
Across the UK, we’ve seen the very best of community action in practice. From wellbeing activities in Haringey and community walks in Medway, to projects with Trivallis, the Llanelli Railway Goods Shed, Remake the Valleys and so many other incredible partners, communities have come together to make a real difference.
A special thank you to everyone who joined us at Aberavon Beach. Volunteers from Laing O’Rourke, National Grid, BGCW Neath, My Green Valley, Sandfields Community Garden Project, alongside local individuals and families, collected more than 40 bags of litter to help keep our coastline beautiful. Thank you to Keep Wales Tidy for providing the equipment and to Lottie the Lifeguard for judging our sandcastle competition.
A huge thank you also to Zip World for hosting an incredible volunteer day in the Cynon Valley, followed by a fantastic Big Lunch that brought people together to celebrate, connect and recognise the contribution volunteers make every day.
Most importantly, thank you to our amazing volunteers, partners and communities. Your commitment, kindness and generosity are what make stronger, healthier and more connected communities possible.
And finally, thank you to the incredible Tempo team. I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved this week and every week.
