Cardiff and Caerphilly Nappy Library by Wastesavers Community cloth nappy loan scheme and advice service. We are a "not-for-profit" community organisation run by volunteers. Hope to see you soon! :-)

Cardiff and Caerphilly Nappy Library allows local parents to try out washable nappies before committing to buy their own. We have a regular monthly drop in on the last Saturday of the month in Whitchurch Hub 10am-12 midday. We loan out nappy packs containing everything needed to give real nappies a go. This includes: 20 washable nappies which should be enough to use cloth ful time. We also include

all the accessories required. Depending on the nappy pack borrowed this may include nappy wraps, liners, extra boosters and inserts, nappy nippas and a wetbag for storage. We charge a £10 fee for a four week loan plus a £25 refundable deposit on return of the nappy pack in good condition. All money raised is reinvested into the nappy bank. Although we hire out packs of nappies the nappy bank is for everyone, and we are happy to discuss and try to troubleshoot any issues you may have regardless of whether you want to hire a pack or not. If you know you want to borrow a pack but are unsure which one might suit your situation you can send us a message and we will be happy to have a chat with you beforehand. If you regularly attend or are involved in the running of other local community groups (breastfeeding support groups, playgroups, children's centre etc) and would like the nappy bank to visit you please get in touch to discuss. :-)

Report, reduce and prevent domestic abuse during the World Cup
Did you know that reports of domestic abuse increase by 38% when England lose a match? Even in the event of a win, there is still a 26% increase. Alcohol Concern Cymru has also pointed to evidence from police which shows a link between major sporting occasions, heavy drinking and a surge in reports of abuse.
Events like the World Cup should bring people together, but this data shows we need to look out for vulnerable families. Crimestoppers is encouraging everyone to call time on abuse, recognise the signs, and report anonymously.

Well today has been very busy. I’ve met loads of people, had donations, I have a lot of nappies to sort out and some kits being loaned out. It’s nice to be busy. I Will definitely look forward to my bed tonight. lol 😂
