Llanrumney Hall Community Trust An innovative regeneration of Llanrumney Hall brought to you by the Llanrumney Hall Community Trust.

Llanrumney Hall: “One of Cardiff’s hidden treasures” – The Guardian

Originally built in 1450 and rebuilt in 1852, the historically prosperous and Grade II* listed Elizabethan Mansion of Llanrumney Hall stands prominently off Ball Road in the lower area of Llanrumney. The Llanrumney Hall Community Trust is a community led trust set up to steer the regeneration of Llanrumney Hall into a vital thriv

ing community hub in East Cardiff.

We are making a bold proposition to the local community to provide a life changing community hub needed by the community and offering services not duplicated in the surrounding area. This includes the Llanrumney Hall Pantry, a food facility service providing heavily subsidised groceries and household goods to the local community; a Gardening Club; an Over 50's Lunch Club; room rentals for local groups and business; educational courses in partnership with Cardiff & Vale College and so much more.

Llanrumney Hall Tour — On Tour! ☕🏡

Our lovely tour speaker, Lynne, visited a local care home to bring a Llanrumney Hall tour directly to the residents of Bryn Ivor Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare whilst they enjoyed tea and biscuits together.

Using pictures displayed on screen, Lynne talked through the fascinating history of Llanrumney Hall and shared many of the stories and information usually included within our tours at the Hall itself.

It was such a lovely afternoon, and it was great to spend time with everyone whilst sharing the history and stories of Llanrumney Hall together 💙

We've been very busy in the garden recently, and during May half term we got all the children involved too!

The children decorated their own plant pots and got incredibly creative with their designs before filling them with cress seeds. They then took their pots home, where they can water them and watch them grow over the coming weeks.

Let's just say it was a very messy activity... but a very fun one too! 🌱

About Llanrumney Hall
Llanrumney Hall was originally built in 1450 and has seen many forms of transformation over the years. It has been a home to important Welsh families, the birth place of the famous Captain Henry Morgan, it has also been a hotel, a remand home for children, and most recently a public house. Due to the age and construction of the building, a lot of sympathetic and efficient restoration was required to bring the Hall into a usable state that the community will be able to derive real benefit from. Llanrumney Hall is now a thriving community hub for people in the surrounding area.

Paranormal activity at the hall has been experienced by staff and visitors for quite some time. There have been reports of hearing children running and playing on the upper floors, objects found in different locations to where they were left. Seeing shadow figures, feeling as though you are being watched and hearing disembodied voices. The team has enjoyed every moment investigating the Hall so would love for you to join us to see what we can discover!
