Llanrumney Hall Community Trust

Llanrumney Hall Community Trust An innovative regeneration of Llanrumney Hall brought to you by the Llanrumney Hall Community Trust.

Llanrumney Hall: “One of Cardiff’s hidden treasures” – The Guardian

Originally built in 1450 and rebuilt in 1852, the historically prosperous and Grade II* listed Elizabethan Mansion of Llanrumney Hall stands prominently off Ball Road in the lower area of Llanrumney. The Llanrumney Hall Community Trust is a community led trust set up to steer the regeneration of Llanrumney Hall into a vital thriv

ing community hub in East Cardiff.

We are making a bold proposition to the local community to provide a life changing community hub needed by the community and offering services not duplicated in the surrounding area. This includes the Llanrumney Hall Pantry, a food facility service providing heavily subsidised groceries and household goods to the local community; a Gardening Club; an Over 50's Lunch Club; room rentals for local groups and business; educational courses in partnership with Cardiff & Vale College and so much more.

This September, Llanrumney Hall staff will be taking on a cause very close to our hearts 💛

We’ll be walking 30 miles each throughout September in support of Dementia UK, helping to raise vital funds for families affected by dementia and the specialist nurses who are there to support them through some of the most difficult times.

This cause means a great deal to us at Llanrumney Hall, particularly through our ongoing Sunflowers group, where we see first-hand just how important support, friendship and understanding can be for those living with dementia and the people around them.

Any support, no matter how big or small, would be hugely appreciated and will help Dementia UK continue to be there for families who need them.

You can support our 30-mile challenge here:

Thank you for supporting a cause that means so much to us 🌻

Welcome to Forest School! 🌳🐞

As part of our summer programme, the kids explored the Llanrumney Hall grounds, collecting natural materials to build their own bug hotels.

The finished hotels were very impressive! 😊

🌻 All things Sunflowers! 🌻

We’ve had the absolute privilege of welcoming Cardiff City FC Community Foundation every Friday to help support our wonderful Sunflowers group.

Henry has been absolutely amazing! 💛 From bringing along games for us to enjoy, to simply sitting, chatting and sharing plenty of laughs, we’re so grateful for the time, kindness and support he’s given to our group each week. 🌻

Our Sunflowers group is a friendly, welcoming space for anyone who is living with dementia and their loved ones. If you, or someone you know, could benefit from a little support, some friendly company, or even just a cup of tea and a few biscuits, you’re always welcome to join us. ☕🍪

🌻 Join us every Friday at 10:30am.

A special thank you to Rhys Grant and everyone at Thomas Carroll for their generous donation of £500 to Llanrumney Hall, made in honour of our Founder and Trustee Steve Borley receiving his OBE. We are incredibly grateful that you chose to mark such a special achievement by supporting Llanrumney Hall and giving back to the community.

Another big thank you to an anonymous local donor for their generous donation of £312.50 ( incl. Gift Aid) last week. Gestures and donations like these can have a huge impact, not only on our charity, but on the local community too!

Your support enables us to improve our facilities, deliver meaningful projects and activities, and ensure The Hall remains a welcoming space for locals to enjoy for generations to come.
If you'd like to support our work, you too can make a donation through our Localgiving page via the link below:
