Islwyn High School and its partner primaries in are leading the way with restorative approaches. Education Minister Lynne Neagle visited recently to meet with staff and peer mediators to hear about their experience and positive progress.
WRAP is working with Caerphilly County Borough Council to support clusters of schools to become more restorative together, with a planned strategic approach that measures impact.
The outcomes? Staff, pupils, and parents are working together to build a strong culture of positive relationships, mutual respect, connection and inclusion. Clear improvements in wellbeing, attendance and attainment, and carefully planned reductions in exclusions.
