Today TPAS Cymru were at the Senedd to meet new elected members and support staff to discuss tenant participation and tenant voice. We met a lot of new faces as well as experienced members. Our team was Olivia, David (Dai Tpas-Cymru) and our tenant Chair Amanda Lawrence

9 years ago today, 72 people tragically lost their lives in the Grenfell fire. This easily preventable tragedy should never happen again, reminding us all that building safety should always be at the forefront of the conversation around safe and healthy homes and tenant rights.

Today, we would like to take the time to remember everyone who lost their lives, their loved ones, and their homes.

Almost a decade on and there's still no justice. We all must do better.

🏳️‍🌈 'A Place Called Home'- Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈
Pride remains a protest, as many LGBTQIA+ tenants still face discrimination in housing today. Some impacts of this discrimination include higher rates of homelessness, being less likely to own their own homes and increased incidences of harassment and hate crime. Pride month is an important reminder that there is still a long journey ahead when it comes to achieving true inclusion.

Sometimes, there is no better way to demonstrate impact and human experience, than art. We asked TPAG tenants if they wanted to submit a creative piece for Pride Month, and here is a beautiful poem by Maurice Jones. Read it, share it, and take away some thoughts. Thank you to Maurice, and all the other LGBTQIA+ tenants who use your voices. We aim to support you and stand with you.
