"Exploring Current Challenges in your Dancing with Parkinson's Work"

Thursday July 2nd 1.30-2.30pm on ZOOM.

FREE to attend but bookings are essential - [email protected]

As this academic year draws to an end, this online session provides a protected space to surface and consider how your practice has developed in response to your participants over the last year. How have you accommodated the impact of disease progression and its symptoms? Is there more support needed here? What unresolved challenges remain?

This session will be interactive with invitations to discuss your work, recognise achievements and together, seek possible solutions to ongoing challenges through drawing on our collective experience. It will begin with some reflection prompts. Please have writing materials to hand and a cuppa!

Any questions? Please email Heidi in advance [email protected]

From Heidi Wilson
"I have the privilege of working both as a Senior Lecturer in Dance at Cardiff Metropolitan University and as a freelance community dance artist.

I love teaching across a range of contexts. My students at university keep me questioning, wondering and trying to make sense of the shifting sands of dancing with diverse communities. My colleagues support research and interdisciplinary opportunities which question where dance ‘fits’ and what it has to offer. My community dancers push me to develop my practice. There is always so much to learn.

I have been involved in community arts since 1991 in social care settings, education and more recently health. I look forward to continuing these conversations with you, sharing my experiences, and learning from yours. Thank you WWTP!"

04/06/2026

Diolch Marla King for all of your wonderful sessions for WWTP that have focused on Climate Justice in the Arts.

More of these are coming soon so watch this space!
