This weeks is a special one 🧡

On Sunday, approximately 150 participants took on Cardiff Half Marathon to raise money for 27 Maggie's Centres across the UK.

A large number of those runners ran for Maggie's Cardiff, collectively raising an INCREDIBLE £31,000 and counting.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you for all your support! Your fundraising and dedication allows us to continue supporting people effected by cancer within our local community 🧡

Are you up for a challenge in 2027? Join on our Sahara Desert 100km Trek from 14th-20th November 2027.

This challenging 7-day trek across the spectacular Moroccan Sahara will see you journey across towering dunes, remote wadis, and vast open landscapes.

You’ll also wild camp beneath star-filled skies and experience the magic of one of Africa’s greatest wildernesses.

By taking on this challenge, we ask supporters to raise a minimum £1,000 to support our vital work to help us be here today, tomorrow, and always.

This trek for Maggie’s is run by our partners Tribal Tracks, who will look after you every step of the way, from sign up to celebrations.

Exercise and gentle physical activity can give you more energy and help build your confidence to deal with cancer and treatment. 🧡

We have drop in Tai Chi sessions which take place every Thursday at 11:00-12:00. No booking is required, just come in. We recommend wearing loose fitting, comfortable clothing.

Art Sessions at Maggie's 🎨
Every Wednesday from 21st October to 25th November, 10:00-12:00

Join artist Sarah Jones for a series of workshops to nurture a sense of pause, presence and sensitivity through making.

Working with a meaningful object of your choice, alongside drawing an clay, you'll explore personal narratives through mark-making, shape, form and texture.

Gently guided throughout the sessions, you'll create a symbolic clay vessel to hold that story or memory that brings you joy. 🧡

Every conversation, cup of tea or moment of calm at Maggie’s is made possible by people like you. Join us in our challenge to raise £30k in 30 days in November to help our centre to continue providing expert cancer care. Every bit of support makes a real difference. 🧡

There are many ways you can support this fundraising campaign:-

- Get your workplace or school involved
- Get sponsored to walk or run 30 miles during the month

🧡 GOOD LUCK TO ALL OUR AMAZING RUNNERS 🧡

This Sunday, our incredible runners will be taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon, putting in the miles and raising money for Maggie’s Cardiff.

We’re so proud of every single person taking on this challenge and helping to support people affected by cancer in South East Wales.

We have two cheer stations around the course:

Mile 6 - WMC, Cardiff Bay

Mile 11 - Lake Road West (on the corner of Keyes Avenue).

Please encourage friends and family to join them, to make as much noise as possible.

Friends of Maggie's Christmas Coffee & Crafts - Saturday 5th December 10:00-12:30 ☕

Come along and support the Friends of Maggie’s group, who’ll be hosting a Christmas Coffee Morning & Crafts Sale to raise funds for our centre.

Entry fee is £5 and includes a cuppa and a cake.
