Caer Las Cardiff Support Scheme

Caer Las Cardiff Support Scheme Caer Las’ Cardiff Support Scheme offers a generic floating support service to people in Cardiff who are experiencing difficulty managing their tenancies.

Caer Las’ Cardiff Support Scheme consists of 8 Tenancy Support Officers. The scheme offers a generic floating support service to people in Cardiff who are experiencing difficulty managing their tenancies. Individuals referred may be single parents, diagnosed with mental or physical health problems, learning difficulties or suffering from alcohol/substance misuse and as a condition of support there

must be a housing related problem. Although Service Users in council accommodation make up a large part of the scheme’s caseload, individuals and families from the private sector, council or housing association, home owners, those living with family and friends and those that are homeless are supported. Referrals are received through Cardiff Council’s Tenancy Support Scheme and there are 2 different contracts through which support can be delivered; Reactive (4 week contract) and Basic (24 weeks). A Post Support service is offered following the end of a contract. Service users can contact the team by telephone or call into the office for advice if they experience problems. We also offer specific specialist skills such as BSL sign language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Solution Focus Therapy
