Thousands of women across Wales were affected by historic adoption practices between the 1940s and 1970s, often facing pressure, stigma and little or no support.
If you, or someone you know, had a child adopted in Wales before 1976, support is now available.
St David's Children Society and Adoption UK, on behalf of the National Adoption Service for Wales, are raising awareness of the initiative, which offers sensitive, step-by-step support by an individual caseworker.
This may include accessing records, understanding personal history, or exploring the possibility of contact - but only at the pace of those involved.
Age Cymru is supporting this campaign to help raise awareness and ensure those impacted know they are not alone. 🧑🤝🧑

Cafodd miloedd o fenywod ledled Cymru eu heffeithio gan achosion o fabwysiadu hanesyddol rhwng y 1940au a'r 1970au. Yn aml roedden nhw’n wynebu pwysau a stigma, a doedden nhw ddim yn derbyn llawer o gefnogaeth; weithiau doedd ganddyn nhw ddim cefnogaeth o gwbl.
Os cawsoch chi, neu rywun rydych chi'n ei adnabod, blentyn a gafodd ei fabwysiadu yng Nghymru cyn 1976, mae cymorth ar gael erbyn hyn.
Mae Cymdeithas Plant Tyddewi a Adoption UK, ar ran Gwasanaeth Mabwysiadu Cenedlaethol Cymru, yn gwella ymwybyddiaeth o'r fenter, sy'n cynnig cymorth sensitif, cam wrth gam gan weithiwr achos unigol.
Gall hyn gynnwys cyrchu cofnodion, dod i ddeall hanes personol, neu archwilio'r posibilrwydd o gysylltu teuluoedd - ond dim ond â chaniatâd y rhai sy'n cymryd rhan.
Mae Age Cymru yn cefnogi'r ymgyrch hon i helpu i wella ymwybyddiaeth a sicrhau bod y rhai yr effeithir arnynt yn gwybod nad ydyn nhw ar eu pennau eu hunain. 🧑🤝🧑
