A HUGE THANK YOU FOR GIVING US A HUGE MILESTONE!

The support of all friends, family, supporters and donors, has been phenomenal in reaching 100K (20% of our goal) in just 10 days of this incredible campaign! We are unbelievably proud to have found a caring community of people who are willing to give Caitlin the greatest gift of all, the gift of life!

We still have a lot of hard work to do, but now we have so much more to work with as the campaign progresses in the next few months. Together we will believe, achieve and do everything possible to Save Caitlin!

Our next steps in the campaign are to promote and inspire people through community based fundraising - so keep an eye out for an event near you!

Lastly, thank you again for your kindness and belief in our campaign, we are forever grateful.

"We've gone through life together and I don't want our story to end here," says Caitlin Leggett

The 24-year-old, who has been given six months to live after her leukaemia returned, says the thought of leaving her identical twin is "unthinkable"

"You're not supposed to have one twin not be there," says sister, Grace.

Caitlin is now pursuing potentially curative treatment abroad - most likely in the US - where treatment and associated costs could reach £500,000.

This is my twin sister Caitlin. We have just celebrated our 24th
birthday and without urgent overseas medical treatments, it will be her last.

Last year, Caitlin was suddenly diagnosed with a fast and aggressive blood cancer (AML) and admitted to the Teenage Cancer Trust ward in Cardiff. Caitlin had a high risk AML mutation and it was concluded that a bone marrow transplant was her best chance of survival. After a long period on the ward, Caitlin achieved remission after 2 months of chemotherapy.

Due to difficulties finding a suitable donor, Caitlin suffered an abnormal relapse and the cancer returned into her skin. After a successful clinical trial and bone marrow transplant, Caitlin achieved complete remission once more.

I am so proud of Caitlin for fighting leukaemia with strength, dignity, determination and a smile that lights up the room. After a deeply traumatic year of repeated health scares, Caitlin was able to enjoy some rest and a return to the promise of a normal life.

Last week, our worst fears were realised when once again, Caitlin’s leukaemia returned. We have been told that Caitlin has only 6 months to live. A second transplant cannot be performed in the UK. If you were delivered this life changing news, how would you choose to live your last 6 months?

Caitlin is choosing to fight this diagnosis and seek life-saving treatment overseas. Caitlin is choosing to live in the hope of a bright future that she and every young person deserves. Time is so precious, and Caitlin’s only chance of a cure is to raise funds to support overseas medical treatment.

When failure is not an option, what would you do?

We are reaching out because we simply cannot wait. We believe in hope and with your help we can fight back and give Caitlin the chance for the greatest gift of all, the gift of life.

Even the smallest contribution will make an immense difference to Caitlin. If you are unable to donate right now, we completely understand. Sharing this link with your friends, family and social networks would mean the world to us and Caitlin. Thank you all so much for your love and support during this difficult time.
