Caitlin's legacy is firmly rooted in giving back to the causes which mattered so much to her. In addition to the GoFundMe donations outlined in a previous post, we have set up a Legacy Fundraising page for both Teenage Cancer Trust and Leukaemia UK. This allows future fundraising to be achieved in Caitlin's name and all proceeds go directly to the causes she championed.

If desired, in place of flowers for the funeral, donations would be appreciated for Caitlin's fundraisers for Leukaemia UK and Teenage Cancer Trust (separate post).

Thank you.

Caitlin was a bright, considerate and kind woman whose maturity extended far beyond her young age. She had the strength to be both fiercely independent and brave in the face of adversity and also was warm, empathetic and supportive to those in need. Caitlin excelled in academics, sports and music an...

Update regarding Donations

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to pause receiving any new donations to Caitlin's fund.

We have selected charities that align with the original purpose of the fundraiser and the health condition that Caitlin so courageously fought against.

A donation will made to Teenage Cancer Trust to fund a Lead Nurse who strategically oversees the whole service in the cardiff and South Wales area. This position will last for year and ensure the equity of support for young people in the area.

A second donation will be made to Leukaemia UK to fund a research grant. This will support the development of new ideas and translate scientific advances into clinical practice for leukaemia treatment.

Lastly, a residual amount will be used to honour Caitlin's legacy through symbolic tree planting, memorial plaques, school awards and a dedicated piano in the hospital.

For those who would still like to make a donation, we will share details of Caitlin's tribute fund pages with both TCT and Leukaemia UK when we announce the arrangements for her funeral.

Thank you for your continued support, kindness and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.

A HUGE THANK YOU FOR GIVING US A HUGE MILESTONE!

The support of all friends, family, supporters and donors, has been phenomenal in reaching 100K (20% of our goal) in just 10 days of this incredible campaign! We are unbelievably proud to have found a caring community of people who are willing to give Caitlin the greatest gift of all, the gift of life!

We still have a lot of hard work to do, but now we have so much more to work with as the campaign progresses in the next few months. Together we will believe, achieve and do everything possible to Save Caitlin!

Our next steps in the campaign are to promote and inspire people through community based fundraising - so keep an eye out for an event near you!

Lastly, thank you again for your kindness and belief in our campaign, we are forever grateful.

"We've gone through life together and I don't want our story to end here," says Caitlin Leggett

The 24-year-old, who has been given six months to live after her leukaemia returned, says the thought of leaving her identical twin is "unthinkable"

"You're not supposed to have one twin not be there," says sister, Grace.

Caitlin is now pursuing potentially curative treatment abroad - most likely in the US - where treatment and associated costs could reach £500,000.
