Where every voice matters and everyone is welcome! 💛

Join us tomorrow for an uplifting evening of singing, laughter, friendship and feel-good music.

Whether you’re a confident singer, a shower superstar, or someone who simply loves a good sing-along, there’s a place for you in our choir! 🎤

✨ No auditions
✨ No pressure
✨ No experience needed
✨ Just come as you are and enjoy the music!

From much-loved classics to modern favourites, we sing a little bit of everything and most importantly, we sing it together.

☕️ Arrive, grab a cuppa and have a catch up
🪵 Choose your wood and decide what you’re creating
🔪 Get whittling, with plenty of help and encouragement along the way
😂 Lots of chatting and laughter
🌱 Take some time out of everyday life and enjoy being creative
👏 Finish the session feeling proud of what you’ve made, or ready to carry on next time!

But Whittling It Down isn’t just about what we make.

It’s about company, creativity, learning something new and having space where you can simply relax and be yourself 💚

Never tried cross stitch before? Don’t worry! All materials are provided and beginners are very welcome.

❤️ A huge thank you to Fairwater Ladies RFC! ❤️

We’re so grateful to the ladies for choosing Ray of Light Cancer Support as their partner charity and for raising money to support the work we do with people and families affected by cancer.

There’s still time to grab a strip in their fantastic raffle, with some brilliant prizes to be won! 🎟️

Half of the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Ray of Light, which will make a real difference to the people we support.

Inspired by BBC Gardeners World we created these beautiful metre gardens, proving just how much can grow in such a small space. 🌿

The person behind the idea and all the hard work was our wonderful Volunteer Odette, who brought the vision to life and helped create something really special.💛

Our gardens have been designed with both shade and sunlight in mind, symbolising the journey our group members at our Abercynon Hub have faced.

We asked them to share one word that described how they felt when they, or someone they loved, were first told they had cancer and another that reflected how they felt after treatment and throughout their journey.

Those words are woven throughout the gardens, a reminder of the fear, hope, courage and strength that can be part of a cancer diagnosis.

We hope everyone who visits takes a quiet moment to stop, reflect and read the words shared by our group members.

A beautiful reminder that even in the darkest times, there is always a Ray of Light. 💛🌿
