Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night's meeting!

We began with a Conversation Starter about our sporting heroes, which included an incredibly moving tribute to Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrows. Sara shared wonderful news about the Afghan family we supported via our charity fundraiser - they have now moved into their new home in Bangor, and are settling into their new life in North Wales.

We spoke about the recent community tensions in Belfast and Southampton, reflected on the powerful words of Michael Gibbs on the theme of "Standing Together", and discussed the theme of "Brave Spaces" from Diverse Together: North Wales 2026.

A special thanks to NWI member Dave Evans, who was inspired to write a song about his experience as part of the NWI Network...and performed it for us!

Our next meeting is scheduled for July 23rd, see you all then πŸ™

Thanks to everyone who joined us for last night's meeting πŸ™

For our conversation starter members shared stories of their favourite meals from other cultures - this included memories of food being shared as an act of kindness to strangers, which was lovely to hear.

We also had a great discussion around supporting national platforms for interfaith dialogue, planning for Diverse Together at Venue Cymru next month and Creating Connections at Bangor University later this year, and Sara arrived with wonderful news: the resettled family we supported through our fundraiser move into their new home next week! ❀️

NWI Lead Coordinator Gareth Hall was honoured to speak on behalf of our network at the Churches Forum for Inter-Religious Relations at Cornerstone Cardiff on Tuesday.

Gareth delivered a presentation marking the 3 year anniversary of North Wales Interfaith - offering examples of our previous activities and events, looking ahead to future projects, and sharing a video featuring the words of NWI members on why interfaith dialogue matters to them.

Thank you to Katie McColgan for speaking on behalf of Interfaithcouncilforwales; to Jane Hutt for your continuing advocacy for interfaith and community cohesion; and a special thank you to Churches Together in Britain and Ireland for hosting this event and providing an opportunity to highlight positive and inclusive interfaith dialogue in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
