City Hospice is Cardiff’s local hospice, providing specialist palliative care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Help us make a difference, shop, donate, volunteer, or fundraise today! City Hospice is the major provider of specialist home based palliative care for Cardiff. We are consultant led as well as providing specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, welfare rights and social workers, pre and post bereavement counselling including children’s bereavement groups and complementary therapies. All of this is provided for free. Every year as a charity, we need to raise the majority of our 1.5m service costs. We do this through all sorts of fundraising events and activities, via our shops and with the support of local businesses and the fantastic community of Cardiff. We look after on average 550 patients and their families at any one time and demand for our service is increasing. ⛳️ What a swinging success!

We recently held our End of Summer Golf Day at Llanishen Golf Club, bringing teams together for a fantastic day on the course in support of City Hospice.

We were delighted to welcome 20 teams, alongside Llanishen Golf Club captains Pam Planning and Rob Gelsomini.

A huge thank you to SFI for sponsoring the event, and to the wonderful team at Admiral for volunteering and helping make the day such a success. 💚

Together, the event raised over an incredible £10,000 to help City Hospice care for people living with life-limiting illnesses. 🎉

SFI Ltd Managing Director, Josh Tedstone, said: "We were delighted to support City Hospice. The charity does such wonderful work, and we were very happy to do so in such a fun way. Thank you to the golf club and all the teams that took part."

💚 Hospice care is so much more than you might imagine

When many people think of hospice care, they often think it’s only for the very end of life, but it’s so much more.

When life feels uncertain, we’re here to help people make the most of the time they have.

It might mean helping someone attend a family celebration, keep up a favourite hobby, spend precious time with loved ones, or feel supported as they navigate the challenges of a life-limiting illness.

It’s about supporting people and those around them, helping families create memories, have important conversations and find a way forward through some of life’s most difficult moments.

A huge congratulations to our amazing team of more than 100 runners who took on the Cardiff Half Marathon yesterday as part of .

Whether it was your first half marathon, a new PB, or a run in memory of someone special, we're so proud of every single one of you. Crossing that finish line is an incredible achievement.

Together, you've raised over an amazing £42,000 for City Hospice, helping us continue supporting people across Cardiff with specialist palliative care and helping them navigate life when it feels most uncertain.

A big thank you to everyone who ran, cheered, volunteered, donated, and supported our runners along the way. The atmosphere was incredible, and we loved being part of such a special day.
