Wow! A sell out last night.

A thought provoking screening and discussion about how Climate Change will affect the UK.

Thanks to Beulah URC for hosting and collaborating with us on this hugely important issue. And thanks to everyone who attended for a great discussion.

If you haven't seen it yet, find a screening by visiting: https://www.nebriefing.org/peb

Ever wondered how the planters in the village and on Heol Llanishen Fach suddenly appeared and who looks after them? They were funded by the Welsh Government as part of allocated money for regeneration projects. Rhiwbina Eco Team was given a sum for initial planting, but now we continue to fund the gardening and our fabulous RET volunteers take care of them. Thank you to local businesses for additional watering during the drought. If you can ever spare time to help out, please message us!

***POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE*** Sorry but due to emergency health issues we cannot run the apple pressing this morning. We will be back, so please watch this space!

We’ll be popping up in the village again on Saturday with our traditional apple press! Stop by outside Whitaker Lounge between 11 and 1 to see it in action and taste some fresh juice from Rhiwbina apples! 🧃 🍏 🍹

The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future.

Come and find out on Saturday 3rd Oct at 6.30pm!

We are screening a short film which is being shown around the UK. Hosted by Chris Packham, this eye-opening film hears from nine UK leading scientists and industry experts. Guests include Deborah Meaden & Jennifer Saunders.

We will then have a short discussion about what the film means for us.

It's free and there will be refreshments but please book a place online so we know how many people will be coming. Here's the link to book:

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/peoples-emergency-briefing-rhiwbina-tickets-1998351055802

Arrive at 6.30pm. Grab a hot drink and some cake. Film starts at 6.45pm and we aim to finish by 8.30pm.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Great to welcome new volunteers 🙋‍♀️ today.

The library was looking stunning - Pop and see it while it's in full bloom! - So we headed to the planters in the village and the benches near Nest.

Lots done and we grabbed a cuppa from Miss Tillys. Thank you Cada Green, Parsons, Pane Olio and Beulah URC for the water today. 💧

More to do. If you are free next Tues 10am, we meet at the library. Come and join us!
