We (Cariad Community CIC) serve a Community Hub (Powerhouse Llanedeyrn) cafe in one of South Wales largest socially deprived areaa - Llanedeyrn, Cardiff. In collaboration with local businesses, community groups and government agencies we seek to raise the bar in offering social inclusion for age related activities and education to all age groups to tackle an ageing population and youth anti - s

ocial behaviour. Cariad Community Cafe will provide underprivileged families an opportunity to afford good honest food to warm the hearts and souls of the community. Often we are giving the families the only decent meal of the day. The hub provides community rooms, housing/benefit advice/ library. Footfall of over 15,000 every month and increasing with a new £13 million Welsh Assembly fund allocated for new development to house NHS, Police and Probation Services. We will help develop skills and encourage volunteers to gain skills back into work and work towards NVQ's to help them gain employment.
