She Runs Birthday run 🥳

We had a brilliant morning celebrating She Runs 7th birthday!

Some of us ran and some of us walked, followed by coffee and pastries at Waterloo Tea.

Lots of lovely parkrunning for our members today.

A big crowd headed to Cardiff, some making it a parkrun sandwich as part of a longer run. Jenni took her daughter for the first time and Elinor achieved both her 50th parkrun and 25th volunteer by being the car park marshal ahead of the run. Congrats Elinor Dixon 🥳

Siân went to Chippenham playing fields, Monmouth
Sam got her Q at Queenswood Country Park
Ruth was back to East Park
Danie headed to Grangemoor where she bumped into Jo & Catriona volunteering.
Deb did her usual at Seaton and was joined by Lorna doing a bit of tourism!
Finally we had Rachel and Cath headed to Aberdare and had a lovely brunch afterwards 🥰

Water station shenanigans at the Cardiff Half 2026 💜🩵

Well, what can we say? Each year we think it can’t get better, and then it does!

This year’s volunteers were amazing! Organised, hard-working, supportive and full of energy!

We had over 30 She Runners, Venture Scouts and a large collection of experienced and new volunteers too at the 11 mile water station on Roath park lake.

Such great support for all the runners, especially our members.

Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day. You are all superstars!

Wel, beth allwn ni ei ddweud? Bob blwyddyn rydyn ni’n meddwl na all pethau fynd yn well, ac yna mae’n gwneud!

Roedd gwirfoddolwyr eleni yn anhygoel! Trefnus, gweithgar, cefnogol ac yn llawn egni!

Roedd gennym ni dros 30 o Redwyr mae hi’n rhedeg, Sgowtiaid Menter a chasgliad mawr o wirfoddolwyr profiadol a newydd hefyd yn yr orsaf ddŵr 11 milltir ar lyn parc y Rhath.

Cefnogaeth mor wych i’r holl redwyr, yn enwedig ein haelodau.

Diolch i bawb a helpodd allan ar y diwrnod. Rydych chi i gyd yn sêr!

She Runs: Progression 💨

A challenging progression run was our workout for this evening.
After a good warm up jog, we set off with 8 minutes at half marathon pace, before progressing straight into 5 minutes at 10 pace, finishing off with 2 minutes at faster than 5k pace before a nice cool down.
Everyone gave it a great effort 💪🏽

What a sparkly bunch we were at the Roath social run yesterday evening. It dried up for us to enjoy the first crisp Wednesday evening run of the autumn (still just about warm enough for t-shirts and shorts.
