Well done to our team who took on the Caerleon Running Club 5 miler last night! A multi terrain challenge over grass fields, sharp, steep inclines through the woods and a long drag during the last mile. It comes highly recommended! Thank you Caerleon Runners 💜

Such a beautiful evening for a run in the Wenallt with our shorter Wednesday trail group.

Stunning scenery, plenty of evening sun, hugs with trees and maybe some fun with rope swings!

We also tackled some steep hills…but why do photos never do them justice?!

Well that was a lovely long trail run, challenging hills but beautiful leafy trails up and down and around the Wenallt. Plenty of happy chatter and sweets. Same time again next week? Yes please 😁

Shoutout to the incredible runners who battled the elements, in some extremely tough conditions, to take on the VOGUM. An ultramarathon is never an easy feat, but yesterday was truly something else. Warriors, all of you.
That weather surely counts as an extra 10 miles….

Clod enfawr i’r rhedwyr anhygoel a frwydrodd yn erbyn yr elfennau, mewn rhai amodau anodd iawn, i herio’r VOGUM. Nid yw ultramarathon byth yn gamp hawdd, ond roedd ddoe yn rhywbeth arbennig iawn. Rhyfelwyr, chi gyd.

💪💜 VOGUM FINISH LINE VOLUNTEERS 💜💪

Well...that was quite a day! We had all the seasons in one day, but 90% just wind and rain. A huge thank you to each and every one of you for coming out...and staying out in all the weather. Flags were flying (away) and at one point I spied two runners achieving PB’s chasing signage somersaulting across the field.

Volunteering for an event is always tough....but in those conditions it was something else. Through it all there were smiles, endless hot drinks, help with food and drop bags and so much ‘we’ve got this!’ positivity.

We had a lovely morning running around Roath Lake - and were extremely grateful to stay dry!

Loads of chat of course, with topics ranging from our wonderful Vogum superstars who conquered 40 miles despite brutal conditions, to the best spots in Cardiff for a Sunday roast 🍽️

Coffee enjoyed by lots of us after too ☕️ Hope everyone has a fab rest of the weekend
