Project Title: Community Inclusion & Employability Hub (CIEH).
Community Cooperation Wales - CIC aims are to reduce poverty, exclusion, and inequality by equipping disadvantaged communities with skills, confidence, and opportunities. We want to create a Community Inclusion and Employability Hub (CIEH) because we see daily the barriers faced by people with protected characteristics in Cardiff and across Wales. These barriers include unemployment, discrimination, lack of awareness of rights, and limited access to leadership opportunities.
Our project will directly respond to these challenges by establishing a safe and inclusive hub where disadvantaged individuals can access tailored support. The focus will be on reducing poverty and exclusion by building confidence, promoting awareness of rights, and tackling discrimination, while also opening pathways to long‑term prosperity and participation.
To achieve this, we will deliver 24 workshops over 12 months, each offering practical training in employability, rights awareness, and inclusion. These structured sessions will provide regular opportunities for participants to learn and connect, while additional mentoring and community‑led campaigns will ensure the benefits extend beyond the workshops into everyday life.
The location of the proposed hub is situated in Cardiff City Centre, where accessibility is easy and sustainable. There is ample suitable on-street parking for all visitors, and attendees.
