Christine Windels Tina Windels Cheri Deans Kellie Jade It is with a heavy heart after 43 years, at the heart of the community, we have made the decision to close InterAid Charity Shop. 58, Crwys Rd. Cathays CF244NN. Loved by our ageing generation as a social stop and renowned for kitting out students for their next fancy dress party in the students "rummage" room. Christine has had many battles with her health over these last few years and is no longer able to open the shop and our most valued volunteers have moved on or are working too. Everything must be sold or given away before we hand the keys back to the landlord at the end of March. Bills still need to be paid even when the shop is closed.. Please look out for sporadic opening times, with a " pay what you can" rather than definite prices. If anybody would like to arrange an opening please DM me. We have some lovely new wedding dresses and prom dresses too.
Unfortunately we are not able to take any further donations except cat food for Homeless Cats Cardiff
Thank you all for looking after my mum over the years. It was difficult to make the decision, now Christine can concentrate on keeping well. Much love and gratitude to you all ❤️

We are reaching out to anybody who can collect the surplus books we have in the shop. Our original collector is no longer able to take them. Do you know anyone who can collect them for free once per month and distribute however they want. If we do not find somebody to take them we may not be able to accept them as a donation. 📘📙📖📚📙📚
We are grateful most donations can be sold on we are not sure if you are aware we have to pay for all waste that the council collect from us and it is costing the Charity a considerable amount of money every month when some donations are made which clearly cannot be sold, ( with the exception of "rags"), it is a form of "fly tipping", we do not sort through donated goods in front of the donor like some other charities who take what they want and refuse the rest.
Please help us to continue to help others, if you are twiddling your thumbs thinking "what can I do" perhaps you could offer some of your spare time to help out.
