Absolutely fab event yesterday at the delightful Larkdesignmake
making flannels for our sanitary packs which Kath Jenkins will take to Kilimanjaro later in the year.
Thank you everyone for coming and Gemma for providing us with the space at her studio.
We've edged 132 flannels made from pre-loved towels and are working on some more. Embroidering will follow.
DM us if you'd like to get involved.

Christmas gift ideas from The Tumaini Trust 2025.

Struggling to find that perfect environmentally friendly Christmas gift? Well, we may be able to help….

Back by popular demand!! We're incredibly excited to announce the launch of our 2025 Christmas gift: "Twelve trees of Christmas".

Our "Twelve trees of Christmas" campaign will fund 12 trees which will be planted in Kilimanjaro - for just Β£12!

Details:
We will send you an electronic message from The Tumaini Trust for you to send out as a gift, thanking your gift recipient for the 12 trees which will be planted on their behalf. The saplings will be grown from seed and planted in Kilimanjaro. The planters will receive the market rate for the cost of growing the saplings and planting them.

At The Tumaini Trust, our vision is to grow trees from seed and plant them in the Kilimanjaro region in Tanzania to reforest areas which have been destroyed, rejuvenate habitats and help in the fight against climate change. As well as the environmental benefits of planting trees, we hope to secure livelihoods and create employment.

Please DM Kath Jenkins or Huw Jenkins for further information.

Thank you!

How wonderful to see so many The Carbon Literacy Project pledges in action!
In our Carbon Literacy Training sessions earlier this year with VEDG, we discussed the environmental benefits of using electric pressure cookers instead of firewood.
These new SESCOM cookers will remove the need to forage for firewood, save time and, most importantly, improve health as
burning wood produces household air pollution that can cause respiratory and other diseases.
