A New year – a New Term Begins:
On Monday the 12th of January, Nsobe Schools for the Community opened for the academic year of 2026.

Thanks to Teacher Aid's faithful support and generosity, hundreds of vulnerable children are back in Nsobe classrooms — learning, growing, and surrounded by love, care, and hope.
This term Nsobe welcomed tiny new pupils in ECE and reunited with familiar faces, all eager to learn and full of promise. Your support through Teacher Aid makes it possible for Nsobe to teach, feed, nurture, and walk alongside each child on their journey to a brighter future.

We are also excited to announce a number of Nsobe former students who are beginning their Tertiary Journey this month into nursing, Teacher Training College, Human Resources, Metallurgical engineering ,Heavy duty driving school and Building trades and carpentry. All are supported through sponsors of Teacher Aid's Tertiary Bursary Scheme. Many more Nsobe students are waiting with acceptance letters to go onto to University of College, but have no funding to do so. Please consider sponsoring them.

Thank you for Supporting Teacher Aid and standing with Nsobe, believing in the power of education to change lives. 🙏

Celebrating the Gift of Education This Christmas

Teacher Aid Trustees and Nsobe School leadership, are truly grateful this Christmas season to see the gift of education changing lives in rural Zambia. Through Teacher Aid collective efforts and your generous support, Irene and Asshub are now able to begin their university journeys - an out of reach dream for most disadvantaged rural students.

At this time of year, many of us spend a lot of money stressing over gifts that are quickly forgotten or never truly needed. What if, instead, we chose to give a gift that really lasts? A gift of education. A gift of hope. A brighter future. Imagine a Teacher Aid education gift voucher—a meaningful way to honour Christmas while changing a life forever.

Irene will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Asshub a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering. Seeing our students take this step reminds us why we do what we do — to open doors, restore hope, and invest in futures that will one day uplift entire communities.

To everyone within Teacher Aid who made this possible, thank you. Your commitment, prayers, and generosity continue to turn dreams into reality.

As we celebrate this season of giving, we warmly invite fellow members and friends of Teacher Aid to consider coming on board as sponsors. Many more deserving students are waiting for the same opportunity, and together, we can extend this gift even further.

Thank you for helping us to educate and uplift the children of Nsobe, Zambia

Congratulations! 🎉
Nsobe Secondary School proudly hosted its 5th Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony, and what an unforgettable celebration it was. We danced, we celebrated, and we shed both joyful and emotional tears as we watched our amazing graduates take their final steps as Nsobe learners.
The day was filled with pride and gratitude—but also a touch of sadness—knowing that this remarkable group will no longer walk our corridors. They have grown, achieved, and inspired us in more ways than we can express.
Thank you Teacher Aid supporters, your sponsoring Nsobe students and teachers’ salaries has played a vital role in keeping our school strong and our learners supported, and education possible. Your generosity continues to make an enormous difference in the lives of both our teachers and students. We are truly grateful. 🙏💚
As we celebrate these young men and women, we are also reminded of the challenges ahead. Many of our graduates are stepping into the world without access to tertiary education sponsorship. Their potential is great, their dreams are big, and we hope that future partners and sponsors will join us in creating opportunities for them to continue their studies and build brighter futures.
We are so proud of them. May they go out into the world with confidence, courage, and hope. They will always remain part of the Nsobe family. 🌟💚

Giving back where it all began - Full Circle Inspiration!
This week, three of our Nsobe graduates returned to give an inspiring talk to our senior students — sharing what university life is really like, what it takes to succeed, and the discipline needed to stay focused on your purpose.
They spoke about study habits, time and financial management, and the importance of knowing why you’re studying — reminding our learners that success begins with self-belief, hard work, and purpose-driven determination.
We are so proud to see our Nsobe alumni becoming leaders, role models, and torchbearers of hope for the next generation! With grateful thanks to Teacher Safe Houses and Teacher Aid Bursary Scheme for giving these young ladies the opportunity to access Tertiary Education and brighter futures.

International Day of the Girl | 11th October 2025
Every girl deserves safety, education, and a chance to shine.
At Nsobe Schools for the Community, that promise is being made real — and Teacher Aid is helping to make it happen.
Through Teacher Aid’s incredible support, vulnerable girls are protected and nurtured in Safe Houses, given access to quality education, mentorship, and daily care that allows them to focus on their dreams instead of their fears.
And when those dreams grow bigger, Teacher Aid continues to walk beside them — funding tertiary bursaries that open the doors to universities, colleges, and vocational training. From the classroom to the lecture hall, these young women are stepping forward with confidence, integrity, and purpose.
When you educate, protect, and believe in a girl, you don’t just change one life — you uplift families, strengthen communities, and transform futures.
Empowered girls become powerful women — and together, they build a better world.

Denmark has been secretly training an entire generation of super-empathetic humans and the results are reshaping what childhood could look like everywhere.
For over 30 years, Danish schools have mandated weekly empathy lessons alongside math and science. These aren't feel-good circle times or awkward sharing sessions. Students learn real skills like reading facial expressions, understanding different perspectives, and managing emotional conflicts. The curriculum treats empathy like any other subject that requires practice and development.
The numbers tell an incredible story. Denmark consistently ranks among the world's happiest countries while maintaining the lowest school bullying rates globally. Danish children score highest on international kindness assessments and grow into adults with exceptional emotional intelligence. Violence in schools has dropped dramatically, and mental health outcomes continue improving year after year.
These empathy classes use practical exercises that build genuine connection skills. Kids practice identifying emotions in photographs, role-play difficult social situations, and learn conflict resolution techniques that actually work. Teachers guide discussions about fairness, inclusion, and understanding differences without forcing artificial positivity.
The program recognizes something revolutionary that most education systems ignore. Academic success means nothing if children can't navigate relationships, handle stress, or treat others with basic human decency. Danish educators realized that emotional skills aren't luxuries but essential life tools.
Other countries are starting to take notice. Finland and Norway have implemented similar programs with promising early results. The Danish model proves that raising compassionate humans isn't wishful thinking but achievable policy when societies decide emotional education matters as much as test scores.

Our Gower Yomp of 2025 was forecast to be very wet and windy so our leader thought it safer to be away from slippery trails and grass. However, It turned out to be a lovely day!
We were split into a 5 and 7.5 mile walk in the leafy woods and trails of North Cardiff. It was very enjoyable, and we finished at the Deri pub for a late lunch. Our annual Yomp was joined by Nsobe school secondary pupils who sported their purple t-shirts, walking for healing and hope on Nsobe trails. All funds raised through the Yomp will go towards building a much-needed Rural health clinic for the school and community of Nsobe, Zambia. Please donate to this life changing cause via Funds are still coming in! https://www.totalgiving.co.uk/mypage/magbeecher
A big thank you to our Yomp leaders Dave and Jane Willock. It was a great day out.
From 2026 the Yomp will take place in the spring. We have done 17 Gower Yomps to date so may discover other lovely parts of hilly South Wales from next year.

There is no corruption at Nsobe. It is instilled into Pupils that it wrong and gets you
Nowhere in the long term. I
Trustees visit regularly, WhatsApp nearly every day and see how every £ is spent. For £25 a month you can provide an education for a primary child. For £35 a month secondary pupils. For £ 80 a tertiary education for a young person. We have a tight system for all bursary schemes which we , the Trustees , would be happy to explain to reassure all sponsors.
It is a great feeling to see a happy, successful University student who was born into abject poverty. Details are on our website https://www
