If you are interested in joining us, search for us and request to join :) This page is mostly to keep you in touch with events, fundraising and news about the growth of our group. We are all busy Mums, but along with our volunteers, try hard to support the local community with babywearing. We al

l believe that babywearing can be beautiful but also incredibly practical (especially in St.Ives!). We aim to meet monthly as a slingmeet to offer advice and are in the process of setting up our own sling library. We change venues and times to try and meet everybodys needs.

Will you all please join me in wishing our wonderful Natalie a very happy birthday today! She's the powerhouse behind the slingmeet, doing the admin and all the work behind the scenes as well as keeping the rest of us volunteers in check 😉 she's been an inspiration to all of us here and we are very grateful for her (and I hope she doesn't unfriend me for doing this 🫣🤣😘)

Hi everyone,

We need to address the increasing number of outstanding hire fees and overdue sling returns.
We are a volunteer-run sling library. Chasing unpaid fees and overdue items takes significant time and effort — time that should be spent supporting families and running our sessions, not pursuing payments.
Our organisation operates purely on hire fees.
We removed deposits to ensure we remain accessible for everyone. These fees allow us to keep our sessions free or voluntary donation-based at point of access. When items are not returned on time or fees are not paid, it directly impacts our ability to continue providing this service.
Hiring a sling is an agreement. We expect items to be returned on time and fees to be paid promptly.
If you have an outstanding hire, please arrange return and payment immediately. If you are experiencing genuine difficulty, contact us proactively.
We appreciate the support of those who respect the system and help us keep this community resource running.
It pains us to have to make this post, but it’s becoming ridiculous. We currently have approximately £260 in outstanding fees, and our contact attempts are going unanswered.
