🎸🎶 HELP BOPH START OUR VERY OWN BAND! 🥁🎤

We have an exciting dream here at BOPH, and we need your help to make it happen! ❤️

Our members would absolutely LOVE to start their very own band, have fun making music together, discover new talents and, most importantly, enjoy the amazing feeling of creating something special as a team! 🎵

So, we’re putting a little shout-out to our wonderful community…

🎹 Do you have any unwanted musical instruments gathering dust at home? 🎸

Perhaps you have an old guitar, keyboard, drum kit, tambourine, or any other musical instrument that you no longer use? We would be incredibly grateful if you would consider donating it to BOPH!

Every instrument, big or small, could make a real difference and help our members take their first steps towards making music together. 🥰

For those who may not know us, BOPH is a non-profit charity based on Canvey Island, providing a workshop for adults with disabilities. We offer a place where our members can learn, socialise, develop skills, build confidence and, above all, have fun in a welcoming and supportive environment. 💙

Music is a wonderful way to bring people together, build confidence and create happy memories, and we would love to give our members the opportunity to experience this for themselves.

🎃👻 Edward’s Halloween Display! 👻🎃

A big well done to our lovely client Edward, who popped into the charity shop and put together this spooktacular Halloween display! 🕷️🕸️🧡 We think he’s done a brilliant job!

But did you know just how important our charity shops are to us? ❤️

B.O.P.H. receives no government funding, so the money raised through our two charity shops helps keep BOTH our shops and our centre running, allowing us to continue supporting our wonderful clients. Every item bought, every donation made and every visit to our shops really does make a difference. 🛍️

When you shop with us, you’re not just grabbing a bargain, you’re helping support adults with learning disabilities in our community and helping us keep doing what we do best. 🥰

So next time you’re passing, please pop in, have a browse and support your local charity. Every penny really does count! ❤️

🌱🥔🍅 A special visit to BOPH! 🍅🥔🌱

We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Rebecca Harris, to the BOPH Centre today, where she came to see the potatoes and tomatoes that our members have proudly grown. 🥰

It was lovely to show her what we’ve been growing and to share a little bit of what we get up to here at BOPH. Our members have put so much time, care and effort into looking after the garden, and seeing the results of their hard work has been fantastic! 🌿❤️

Our latest Castle Point Community Team project has seen one of our members, John Stone, lending a hand at BOPH on Canvey Island this week.

The new garden area is starting to take shape, with tomatoes and runner beans now planted and growing well. Next week, John and the team will be getting some potatoes in the ground too.

We are always happy to support worthwhile community projects across Castle Point. If your group, charity or organisation has a project where a few extra pairs of hands could help, please get in touch.

And if you’d like to join John and help out at BOPH, send us a message and we’ll happily put you in touch. Working together, we can make a real difference in our community.
