❄️ Not even the snow storms could stop the БО Благодійний фонд Сила Громади team from setting up our Lights of Hope parties for the Children. Despite the entertainment being stranded in the snow, surprise Christmas boxes from Boxers Barbers 4 UKRAINE Registered Charity no. 1206768 certainly added smiles to everyone's faces. 🥰

Behind the scenes of charity work rarely looks like people imagine 👀

There’s often an assumption that support happens quickly. You spot a need, make a decision, and help simply appears.
The reality is very different.

Most projects begin with conversations on the ground 🤝, revealing real needs, sometimes urgent, sometimes unexpected.

From there, the work unfolds piece by piece.

✅Funding must be secured or shaped.
✅Partners align across borders and time zones.
✅Suppliers are carefully sourced - what’s available, practical, and able to reach the destination.

⚠️Routes change.
⚠️Risks are constantly assessed.
⚠️Everything has to be timed so it can arrive and be sustained.

Almost every project of food, medication, home repairs, or therapy programmes is made real by local partners on the ground

They understand the context, navigate the complexity, and turn plans into real impact.

✨ We’ve been sharing the various Christmas Light Parties for children that have been sponsored and taking place across the Borodyanka region.

But over the last few days, something unexpected happened.
Children have been coming to the БО Благодійний фонд Сила Громади hut asking for hot chocolate ☕

Of course, we couldn’t say no!!

What began as a small gesture has now become a hot chocolate station where children can come to warm their hands - now sponsored through to the end of January.

This is what the CCLL The Helping Hand for Ukraine team does.
We listen to the need, pivot, and adapt to the demand.

You can’t always predict how a project will grow.

But when you listen closely to what’s happening on the ground, the need shows you the way.

Sometimes it’s not about doing more, it’s about responding better 💙💛
