Join us every Wednesday, 6pm in ELT2 for show debates and Thursday 6pm in GS1 At The Kent Debating Society, we value viewpoint diversity.

We host debates, open forum and British parliamentary style, every week on the Canterbury Campus. Our debates cover a broad spectrum of subjects including politics, current affairs, science, society, culture, religion, technology, philosophy, economics, law, history and more. We strive to propose questions that are relevant and thought-provoking, while providing a neutral and moderated platform fo

r speakers and audience members. Have something to say? Or have a specific topic in mind? Come along to one of our sessions and feel free to suggest topics you want to see debated. All are welcome, whether you want to be a speaker, for or against, ask questions or just listen. No experience is required. Though we do provide training sessions for those who want to practice or hone their skills as well as prepare for competition debating.
