One of the things we care about at cityspace, apart from a very fine cup of tea or coffee and some tasty biscuits, is mental health.
This world can be a tough place, and we want to do whatever we can to help people feel safe and live well. That's why we are really hoping we will be able to host this exciting project…
But it will only happen if they raise enough money by 20th August. Please take a look, and please give if you can. Oh, and please share this far and wide!

No one Here is Me Productions Ltd continues their work to explore male mental health with compassion to create courageous connections and build community, via a series of constructive workshops.
Mental health affects all of us but it isn't a one size fits all, we want to offer men a space to explore various aspects of mental health through different mediums.
Our workshops will use a mixture of creativity, play, exploration, self reflection, life skills and tools to examine modern masculinity.
Workshops focus on building connections, developing confidence and self expression. Participants will have the opportunity to be witnessed, the freedom to be open and discover in a safe and brave environment.

Some very lovely people have been nominating our Cityspace charity for this award draw. If you would be up for throwing a nomination our way, we would be immensely grateful! This share link has been a bit unreliable at times, so give it a go. If it asks you for the name of the charity, you need to put in canterbury Boiler Room, as that's our official name. We don't have anything to do with boilers, so don't ask us to fix your heating, but we do have a very lovely community space which opens as often as we have volunteers to staff it, welcoming people in for free drinks, biscuits and friendship. It's a small but really beautiful space in our city, and we are proud to be doing this, but we don't get paid by anyone, so all the fundraising we can do is worth a go.

We have loved hosting Maya's Food Bank Team at Cityspace on a Sunday evening, but now it's time for them to leave us and move on to a new venue. Find out where they will be from this Sunday first March onwards…
Maya and team, thank you so much for all you do to make this little corner of Kent are kinder, friendlier place :-)

Hi everyone, due to further building works this week, our next opening time will be Monday 23rd from 10:30-12:30.

Maya's Community Support Centre & FREESHOP’s Training Academy should be fine for Sunday but watch their page for details.

Today we are missing our good friend and volunteer Andrew Pantling, who many of you will also know and love, and who died suddenly over the weekend.

Andrew has been part of cityspace, and our Canterbury Boiler Room community since its earliest days. He has dreamed with us, laughed with us, wrangled with us - central to everything we have done. He also served Canterbury Street Pastors, and many other groups in the city with dedication and kindness. We are shocked and heartbroken that he is not here with us.

We are open today from 10:30-12:30, but please bear with us this week if we need to make changes to our opening times as we process this news as a community. We’ll post here if there is a change to our advertised timings.

cityspace will be open again soon … we promise!
We’ve finished our refit after the great flood of July 2025, and we’re all set to open again, but we’re having a bit more work done in the building this week, so please bear with us a bit longer!
We’re hoping to be able to start opening again from Tuesday 13th January …
Watch this space for dates and times when we’ll be open.
We can’t wait to see you all again, … for free drinks and snacks and friendly company in our new-look space.
