Lecture on Wɪʟʟɪᴀᴍ Hᴏɢᴀʀᴛʜ's Cᴏɴᴄᴇᴀʟᴇᴅ Mᴀsᴏɴɪᴄ Sʏᴍʙᴏʟɪsᴍ and 1sᴛ Dᴇɢʀᴇᴇ Tʀᴀᴄɪɴɢ Bᴏᴀʀᴅ. Breakfast 8:00am Sat 22 Nov, Canterbury: https://tinyurl.com/sbarnes513 to book in.
Bro. Matthew Watson will be presenting a lecture on the Concealed Masonic Symbolism in the work of the great satirist Bro. William Hogarth.
There will also be a presentation of the First Degree Tracing Board given by W. Bro. Richard White. Anyone who has been witness to Richard's ritual will know that this presentation will surely be exemplary.
The meeting will be followed by a museum tour. It is therefore a great meeting for recently made masons and their mentors to attend.
We start with a five-course breakfast at 08.00, including continental, fish and full English. This is non-Masonic, so friends and family are welcome to join us. Just £18.50.
We tyle at 08.55 and afterwards head upstairs for a quick sausage roll and glass of wine to accompany the toasts. We are finished by 12.30. It's quite common for brethren to make a day of it and meet up with friends and family again after the meeting.
On this occasion there will be an optional tour of the museum and library, with an opportunity to take in a copy of Hogarth's work 'Night', which is a subject of Bro. Matthew Watson's lecture.
