A huge thank you to the College of Policing for delivering an excellent PolSA CPD Conference this week.
It was a fantastic opportunity, allowing us to engage in valuable discussions with colleagues and partners from across the policing community.
With thanks to the organisers for the planning and delivery throughout the event.
We’re looking forward to continuing the conversations and introducing new features in the months ahead.

SarStuff is proud to be attending the PolSA CPD Conference at the College of Policing this week.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with policing professionals from across the country, showcase our latest solutions, and support conversations around innovation, operational effectiveness, and officer welfare.

If you’re attending the conference, come and say hello — we’d love to meet you and discuss how SarStuff continues to support the policing community.

We asked teams using CiEM which feature they wouldn't give back. One TRiM practitioner put it best:

"The logging system of how many times a team member has been involved in a potentially TRiM-able incident is utterly invaluable."

Knowing the pattern matters. Welfare conversations land better when you can see what someone's been through.

Joining a rescue team isn't just turning up to training. It's being one phone call away from a job that stays with you.

Most teams have something on paper for what happens after a hard callout. Far fewer have something that runs.

A TRiM check-in isn't an interrogation. It isn't a sign you're not coping. It's a teammate checking that the job didn't follow you home.

If you're new to a team — or thinking of joining one — it's a fair question to ask: what does your team do in the week after a difficult job?

The callout was a fortnight ago. Your phone hasn't rung. Nobody's checked in.

If that's how the days after a hard job feel in your team, you're not alone — and it's not your team failing you. It's the absence of a system.

Most teams mean to do welfare follow-up properly. Most teams don't. Not because they don't care. Because nothing reminded the right person to make the call.

Tag your welfare officer. Or your team lead. Or the person you wish had asked.

Mental Health Awareness Week comes round once a year. The work doesn't.

Next week we'll be sharing how CiEM helps teams turn intent into peer support and TRiM that actually happens. Starts Monday.

Most teams have a system that started with one person and a good idea. Ours did too.

Someone with a coding hobby spots a gap and builds something to fill it. The team uses it. It does the job for a while.

The tricky bit comes later. People move on. Day jobs get busier. Bugs appear that only the original developer knows how to fix. And questions about GDPR, data retention, and member rights start to land in the inbox.

This is not a criticism — it is the natural lifecycle of a homegrown tool.

The difference with a dedicated supplier is what comes around the code. ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification. Documented GDPR processes. Enterprise-grade servers in PASF-accredited (Police Assured Secure Facilities) UK datacentres. A team behind every update, not one person. Support that does not depend on a volunteer's spare evening.

If your team is at that point, it is worth a conversation.

Drop us a message and we can talk through what a good handover looks like.

Cast your minds back to February when we held our first sponsored TRiM course with March on Stress. This is something we are proud to have sponsored and now even prouder to hear the impact it’s had.

The feedback we’ve received highlights not just the quality of the learning experience, but the real, lasting difference it’s making — building confidence, developing skills, and opening new opportunities as well as protecting the mental health of team members.

Supporting initiatives like this is exactly why we do what we do. It’s about more than funding a course — it’s about helping people grow and succeed.

Good catch up with the guys at Mastdata this morning exploring new potential features and ways of working in both directions.

After a very busy week, we’re ending it on a high 🙌
It was great to attend the NPCC Missing Persons Conference in York at the beginning of the week — some really valuable conversations and potential collaborations, we are excited to see where they go.
We are also finishing the week strong having received encouraging feedback on several of our innovative ideas across our systems.
Momentum like this makes the hard work worthwhile.
