Hello dear friends. Thank you for checking in.
Lots of good news this week.
We have allocated funding for a patient at New Cross Hospital to enjoy a theatre trip with all expenses paid for herself and a +1.
That's the absolute best part of running this Fund.
And it's thanks to our wonderful supporters that we are able to do this.
Friends of one of the patients we recently allocated funds to are kindly sending us a donation of £67.50 after raising money at a staffroom cake sale at Elston Hall Primary School in Wolverhampton.
Thank you for that kind donation.
Next Sunday we hold our annual meeting of trustees and members. I will provide facts and figures after that meeting.
Also coming up: 2 Christmas Fairs November 28 and December 13 (details nearer the date), Xmas raffle and auction of football memorabilia (see pics of 2 of the items).

I absolutely LOVE counting small change! All those pennies, 2ps, (not so much the fiddly 5ps) but it's just so satisfying stacking them up into little bundles and pouring them into those special bags once you reach the required amount.
My point is, if you have a bag of change or some copper lurking in a drawer, please send it my way!
Not only does it make me happy, all those bits and bobs add up and can be paid directly into Paul's Fun Fund.
This week I had a jar and an envelope of coins. Thank you Vanessa and Rose. All counted and banked!
A huge thank you to Jack and his brother for donations of Wolves memorabilia: a signed football, a Wolves football shirt, training vest and three large photos of individual team members.
These will be auctioned or sold at the Railway Tavern pub, Norton Canes shortly. More details to follow.
Thanks also to Jessica, from New Cross Hospital, and my sister Marie for donations of items for raffle, tombola and sales table.

Just a couple of 'thank yous' this week.
Many thanks to family friend/ex brother-in-law Graham who donated his remaining English money before returning to his home in Australia. Thank you Graham for an assortment of coins adding up to £22.78.
Thanks again to our member Jennie, from Norton Canes, for another bag of items for us to sell or use on our tombola at upcoming sales. I will collect the bag from you later today.
I was thinking our stall at the Christmas fair at Heath Hayes Library seems a long way away, but it's next month!

Hi everyone. The wristbands have arrived - and they are really nice.
They are now on sale to raise money for Paul's Fun Fund for £2.50 each (+ the price of 2nd class stamp(s) for anyone who wants any posting).
The wristbands have Paul's Fun Fund, Live Life Have Fun printed around the band.
In other news we have managed to book a stall at a Christmas Fayre at Heath Hayes Library on November 28, 1pm-3pm.
We will be selling the wristbands, Christmas gifts and other items on the day + holding a fun tombola.
This week we had a lovely gesture from one of our beneficiaries wishing to give something back.
He is donating a squad signed Wolves football from the 2025/26 season with an official club certificate of authenticity.
How wonderful. Thank you. This will make an ideal prize for our Christmas raffle.
But it was sobering to learn that this kind young man is in the Intensive Care Unit.
I hope with all my heart that he is now in recovery.
This is a stark reminder why we do what we do: to provide a treat for a beneficiary so they can have good times when their health allows it. Sending love.

Awaiting delivery of our new Fun Fund wristbands which should be here soon.
We are on the lookout for a local (near to Cannock) autumn fair where we could have a fundraising stall.

Hi all. Hope you are good. We have run out of our Paul's Fun Fund promotional wristbands so have ordered new-design ones. The silicone wristbands will feature the logo which is at the heart of everything we do.
Paul was all about having fun, which is the reason we set up this Fund in his memory in the first place.
Hope you like the wording: Paul's Fun Fund - Live Life Have Fun which will be printed onto the blue wrist bands.
Delivery is expected in about two weeks so will let you know when they are available.
Sales of the wrist bands will go towards what we are about - helping people going through a difficult time in their lives to have fun.

We have hit our first little milestone.
We have 50 followers! Yay!
Now, I'm well aware that many prolific social media users boast thousands of followers.
But Paul's Fun Fund is a relatively new page - so I'm happy to blow our own little trumpet.
Last week I forgot to thank our valued trustee, my partner Alex who always supports me by loading and unloading the car, helping me to set up fundraisers, never complaining. Thank you 'Lex', x

A huge thank you this week to local pubs and clubs who host our collection boxes.
Thanks to their staff and customers I have been able to bank £52.50 from our latest collection.
Many thanks to The Yew Tree and Railway Tavern pubs in Norton Canes; Newhall Farm, Cannock; The Talbot, Heath Hayes; The Trafalgar, Hednesford; The Junction, Chasetown;, The Grangemoor, Burntwood; The Wheatsheaf at Great Wyrley and The Windmill at Gentleshaw.
Particular thanks to whoever was kind enough to place a £10 note in our collection box at the Railway Tavern. x
In addition to our collection boxes I raised a further £20 on Saturday holding a tombola stall at a 'pre-loved sale' at Brownhills Community Centre (The Lamp), minus £10 for the table already paid.
Thank you to my sister Marie for helping on the day and donating items for sale.
Plus, thanks to my partner's mom Anne, from Chasetown, donating the contents of her piggy bank.
The total of all income raised over the last week came to about £80.
Anyone out there who runs a charity knows only too well how difficult it is to make money, so even several small donations really add up and count.
So - I have just about enough prizes to run one more small tombola - then that's it.
If anyone out there has any unwanted gifts/nearly new items/cuddlies/costume jewellery suitable as prizes or to sell, please get in touch.

Wow, wow, wow!
We have just received a massive boost to our funds: £1,285!
How amazing is that?
The money was raised thanks,to my Goddaughter Martine and staff at The Merry Harriers pub, in Hambledon, Surrey, who organised a weekly meat raffle for several weeks in June and July.
Special thanks to Alex, Kelly and David for their part in the weekly raffle.
And what a novel way to raise funds!
This money will go a long way towards providing treats for patients at the Hematology Unit, New Cross Hospital, who are referred to us by staff at the unit.

This week I looked up the figures for our Easyfundraising account. Since 2020 we have received an astounding £899.54 in donations for our charity - and there is still more in the pipeline.
It is paid directly into our Fun Fund bank account when our supporters shop online.
