In Aug 2019 we completed our first challenge and thank you to everyone who participated and donated. It was definately hard work but worth every soggy, midged and sun burnt step !!
Can’t wait for the next adventure in 2020, watch this space...
It all started after a social ride out and a walk in the Beacon Beacons followed by a throw away comment as we relaxed afterwards, ‘let’s combine the Three Peaks with a motorcycle ride’...and so Blood Bikers in Walking Boots was born. Our first challenge involved 6 walkers and a support crew of 4, starting on the 28 July 2019 and finishing the last peak on 3 Aug 2019.
Whilst the traditional view of the Three Peaks Challenge is to complete all within 24 hours we had an alternative plan. Our intention was to climb a peak one day, ride to the next the following day then walk the following day, thereby taking 7 days to complete the challenge - and we did it!
