The PTFA of Five Ways Primary School Cannock

The PTFA of Five Ways Primary School Cannock Welcome to the page for Five ways Primary School PTFA We always need more active involvement and welcome fresh ideas. Quiz Nights, Family Bingo.

The Five Ways PTFA is a voluntary group which organises many events and activities over the school year to raise money to be spent on helping to support the children’s learning and environment around the school. This page has been created for the PTFA to share information with parents. The page is owned and operated by some of the volunteers from the PTFA and NOT BY THE SCHOOL. We will use this pa

ge to post information about forthcoming events, share suitable photos and raise awareness about our activities. Any school information or photos posted on here have come directly from the School's website via the school and we are just passing it along. It is assumed therfore that any necessary permissions have been sought. WHAT DO WE DO? - The PTFA has two main roles:

Fundraising: we raise money to buy additional resources and equipment needed by the school. All the monies raised are used to provide OUR children with these extras. To date, our children have benefited from extra computers, books, sports equipment, reading aids, whiteboards, Year 6 leaver gifts and many more. These extras make such a difference to our school. Fun Activities & Events: we organise events for our children outside the school curriculum, e.g. Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Fayre, Summer Plant Sale, Christmas Fayre, End of Term Discos for KS2, Clown shows for KS1, Christmas parties with Santa, Book Fayre, Disney on Ice Trips and much more. We also organise social events for parents, e.g. The main purpose of these events is to provide pleasure rather than profit. Other activities: The PTFA is also actively involved in organising school photographs and supply of uniform. As parents ourselves we have sought the best possible supplier of both in respect of quality and value for money. There is always something going on at Five Ways PTFA. We always try and respond to the children’s requests; it is great to see them having fun at the events or enjoying using a piece of new equipment that the PTFA has donated. THE COMMITTEE

Our PTFA committee consists of five officers who are elected into office at the AGM : Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and Uniform Coordinator. We also have two Ordinary Committee Members to make up the elected committee. The full Committee including wider members and occasional event helpers meet on a regular basis usually once every two months, with smaller working groups meeting as necessary when we are planning larger events.
