| This afternoon, Officers have been out alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue as part of a joint patrol initiative across areas identified as high risk for wildfires.

With the recent warm weather increasing the likelihood of fires, these proactive patrols are focused on preventing incidents before they occur, keeping both local communities and natural spaces safe.

In addition, officers are addressing ongoing concerns around young people swimming in open water. While it may seem refreshing, open water environments can be extremely dangerous due to hidden hazards, cold temperatures, and strong currents.

To help raise awareness, a number of warning signs have been deployed across key locations, highlighting the risks and providing clear safety messages.

Regular patrols will continue over the coming weeks, offering reassurance, engaging with the public, and ensuring these areas are monitored closely.

We would encourage everyone to act responsibly, respect signage, and report any concerns to help keep our community safe.
