No referral is required . After undertaking research in the local area, a group of individuals felt led to set up the Kintyre Food Bank. Over the past number of months, they have been gathering food, organising premises and ensuring that local council and officials are in support. As of October 2014, the Kintyre Food Bank will open its doors. Run by
a referral scheme, those facing food poverty, whether a single person or family, can receive food packages with no questions asked. If you would like to help, we are looking for food donations, financial donations as well as volunteers to help run the food bank premises.
