A really great turnout for the screening of Sharing the Rainforest at Campbeltown Picture House. Wonderful to meet so many people who are really engaged and curious about Kintyres temperate rainforests. Massive thanks to Zoe Prosser from Glasgow School of Art, CHArts Argyll and Isles, the massively talented artists exhibiting their work, and all our fabulous volunteers working so hard for Kintyre Rainforest Alliance to raise awareness of our magnificent local woods.

The exhibition of art is available to view during normal opening hours of the Picture house until 28th June.

None of this would be possible without the very wonderful Campbeltown Picture House. Please book tickets from the cinema and join us 2pm Saturday.

This looks a great day if anyone is interested in attending. Aspen are a massively important native tree, sadly under threat, so protecting them and preserving the genetic diversity is hugely important.

🌿 Join Us To Collect Aspen Root Cuttings 🌿

We’re heading to Ardpatrick to collect Aspen root cuttings, then back to our Native Tree Nursery in Lochgilphead to process them, and you’re invited.

Join us for the morning, the afternoon, or the full day. Lift shares can be arranged between Lochgilphead and Ardpatrick.

What to expect:
• Meet in Ardpatrick at 10am (location pin sent in advance)
• Gently uncover Aspen roots and take cuttings
• Learn how we grow native trees at our nursery
• Spend time outdoors with like-minded people

It’s free to attend. Please bring lunch and water. A good level of mobility is needed as we’ll be navigating woodland terrain.

Book your place here:

Come along and be part of growing Argyll’s native trees 🌱
