🎖️🎂 Happy 106th Birthday to WWII veteran Walter Penny Smith! 🎂🎖️
Walter served with the Black Watch and the Royal Army Service Corps, arriving in France at just 18 years old. Three days before his 20th birthday, he was captured by German forces and spent the rest of the war as a Prisoner of War in several camps.
Today, we honour not only Walter's remarkable 106 years, but also his courage, resilience and sacrifice in service to his country. His generation endured so much to secure the freedoms we enjoy today, and we remain forever grateful.
Wishing Walter a wonderful birthday surrounded by family, friends and all those who admire his incredible life story.

Change of date. This Sunday (21st) is our monthly breakfast club in the SKDT Hall on Kirk Street. The breakfast will be served between 1000 hrs - 1200 hrs.

Can we ask those attending to please let us know asap as this will help with the planning. This also ensures that we are not using money buying food that we do not use. Please also let us know what you would like for your breakfast and an approx time you will be attending. All profits made will go back into the breakfast club.

Legion Scotland, Serving, Veterans, Veterans ID Card, Blue Light Card, Defence Discount Service card holders and branch supporters/friends are welcome to attend.
