Our bins are full! Could you please take your material down to Campbeltown until there is space in the bins again.
Our big shredder had been out of order for a few weeks as there was a big metal rod wrapped around the drum so we are running behind. Any material outside the roofed bin is getting wet and harder to process for us volunteers.
Please always take commercial or larger sized loads to Campbeltown. Thank you.

Hi everyone! We are pleased that so many people value and use our composting site. 😄 But we need your help! Could you please be more mindful about the material you bring to us?

❗️Please don't bring:

- turfs
- anything with soil attached (stones can break the machine)
- dog poo bags or other rubbish
- whole trees
- fence material or other old pieces of wood.

This can break our machine/ruin the quality of our compost and we might have to shut the site again.

As many of you will have smelt on Thursday, we had to shut the side down and do some controlled burning again. This time it was due to contamination with giant rhubarb (Gunnera tinctoria) which is an invasive species.

Please consider: Everything you bring to our site could potentially end up in your garden via our compost and we will have to shut the site down to deal with it.
