Me and Lbdr McKim are taking on a 24-hour challenge to raise money for the Army Cadet Charitable Trust.

We’ll be marching in uniform for 12 hours, camping overnight in field conditions, then heading straight back out to complete another 12-hour march the next day. It’s going to push us physically and mentally, especially dealing with fatigue, distance, and limited rest.

The ACCT helps fund essential equipment, training resources, and activities that aren’t otherwise provided, giving cadets more opportunities and better experiences.

We are currently raised £185 and the aim by the walk is for us to have raised £500 for the ACCT.

Any donation, big or small, would genuinely mean a lot and help keep us going when it gets tough.

Death of Captain David McCluskey – Glasgow & Lanarkshire Bn ACF

It is with deep regret that I share the news of the passing of Captain David McCluskey, a CFAV that served in Glasgow & Lanarkshire Bn ACF for over 60 years.

David was a massive supporter of Army Cadets Pipes and Drums both within the Battalion and at national level, having made a massive impact on many cadets’ lives (both directly and indirectly).

My thoughts are with his wife, Linda (who is also a former ACF officer), and with his family.

Our Brother, Captain David McCluskey will make his final journey on Monday the 23rd of March 2026 at 11am, He will be cremated at:

After the service there will be a gathering at:

All are welcome to come pay their respects and reminisce over the many stories and memories we have of Davy.

Guys what a brilliant Company camp everyone I spoke to loved it,Great to see the Adults working hard and getting stuck into their Lessons,Also Snr cadets doing their lessons,Great seeing my Adults getting Promoted as well as our Cadets,Quite a few got Certificates and CDT Kerr getting the Commandants Coin,My PRO Sgt Deary will upload all the Photos and Videos later😉,Big thanks to all my Adults for making the camp
