When we get the opportunity, in between our busy day-to-day operations, to give ourselves a little community outing day — we take it 😊

As well as sharing information about who we are and the support we provide across Cambridgeshire and Fenland, we’re also excited to meet and learn from other local organisations and community groups.

You might be surprised how many people still don’t know that Meals on Wheels services like ours still exist — and just how much of a difference they can make through nutritious meals, welfare checks, and regular social connection for elderly and vulnerable people.

We always value opportunities to support one another, build local connections, and continue strengthening community care together.

What a fantastic day we had once again at the Sawston Fun Run & Walk! 🎉🏃‍♀️🧁

We were delighted to be back holding our annual bake sale, with plenty of delicious cakes and cookies enjoyed throughout the day. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to support us, donate, or simply have a chat.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces returning to say hello, as well as meeting lots of new people and having some lovely conversations about who we are and the work we do at CAMMS Meals on Wheels. 💚

Our story 💚

A look back at where it all began… After introducing ourselves, it feels right to share a bit more about our story. CAMMS started with a simple but powerful idea: to support people in our community with something essential. Before CAMMS, the Meals on Wheels service in Cambridge was run by the Wome...

What a year it has been! ☺️

We have volunteered, and we have been supported by volunteers who offered us a caring hand. We were nominated and shortlisted for an award, raised funds for causes close to our hearts, met the Member of Parliament for Cambridge and the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and were even invited to a royal residence for a friendly chat with Her Majesty the Queen Consort.

Along the way, we have grown our audience across social platforms, and as we look ahead, our next year’s resolution is to reach people who are harder to reach logistically. We are here because of you—and as they say, without you, there would be no us.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your continued support throughout the years. Our deepest thanks go to our customers, our staff and volunteers, and our partners and associates. We truly couldn’t do this without you.💚

We are incredibly grateful to St. Laurence’s Roman Catholic Church for their generous donations in support of our eldest residents.

This time of year can be especially difficult for those living alone, when feelings of loneliness can feel heavier and days can seem quieter. It’s so important that everyone feels supported, valued, and never forgotten. 💚

Thank you for your compassion and generosity — it means more than words can say.

Week 3 of Rotary Club of Cambridge South Christmas parking project!

Once again our wonderful staff members take part as Rotary volunteer, helping manage parking during the busy Christmas shopping season. In return, we gratefully collect donations that go directly to local charities—making a real difference in our community.

Rotary Christmas or “Festive Parking” schemes have become a beloved tradition across the UK, North America, Australia, and Europe. In some towns, these initiatives have been running for over 30 years!

Thank you for supporting Rotary and helping us keep this wonderful holiday tradition alive!
