Water Sensitive Cambridge CIC was founded in 2023 by local residents to work with, and be in service to, water. The water-sensitive approach aims to reduce the impact of development on the water cycle in urban areas. We put rain into the ground close to where it falls. This is to mitigate flooding, and reduce pollution to the brooks and rivers that we love. As well as designing and building sustainable drainage systems, we run outreach and education projects to aim for a better local relationship with water.

Strawberry Fair 2026 is back and out of this world

Celebrating our 51st year as a volunteer-run celebration of music, arts and community in Cambridge.
In 2026, we’re marking this milestone with an “Area 51” theme.

Visitors can expect aliens, spacecrafts and a few surprises as the Fair returns for its 51st year.

The official 2026 poster has now been revealed, created in collaboration with Long Road Sixth Form College . The winning design by student artist Grace was developed alongside our Communications Team.
