The C&H Junior Summer League came to a close on Sunday with bronze and gold/silver medal matches being played at U10, U12 and U14 level. With many matches going to tie break or championship tie-break the games were hard fought in great spirit, doing parents and the club proud. Congratulations to all the kids who played it the group and knock out stages and to Donald, Sonny and Younes for coming out top in their respective age groups!

🎾 BOX LEAGUE – ROUND 3 🎾

Round 2 was a huge success, with plenty of competitive matches, great tennis and lots of members getting involved. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Round 3 starts on 11 June and runs all the way through to 31 August, giving everyone plenty of time to arrange and play their matches throughout the summer.

If you played in Round 2, you’ll automatically be entered into Round 3. If you haven’t joined the Box League yet, now is the perfect time to get involved. Entries close at 5pm on 10 June.

The Box League is a great way to meet other members, play competitive matches and enjoy tennis throughout the summer season.

There was an excellent turnout at last Wednesday’s Welcome Club session.
It was great to see such a strong mix of members, along with several new faces. We hope you all felt welcome and enjoyed the evening.
It was also a lovely to see the grass courts in use for the first time this season
They are now officially open and looking in fine condition.

A few key details:

◦ Pairs can be Men’s, Ladies’ or Mixed
◦ Please arrive at 9:30am for a 10:00am start
◦ The final fixture list will be shared ahead of the tournament

We’ll also have a Topspin Demo Day running alongside the event, so it’s a great chance to try out some new tennis racquets while you’re there. There will be food and drink available throughout the day, making it a proper club social as well as a tournament.

The handicap format is designed to keep things competitive and fun, so it’s a great opportunity to mix in with different partners and meet more members across the club. If you are in need a partner, we will find you one! Just write “Partner needed”.

Club Session Welcome Event - this Wednesday!

Don’t forget that we will be combining one of our popular club sessions with a chat and piece of cake and opening our grass courts for the first time this Summer too!

With longer days why not come along this Wednesday 29 April, to enjoy some fun tennis, to meet Mary and Lawrence, the Club Managers and more importantly other members of the club as this event provides a great opportunity, in particular for our newer members, to get to know other people at C***s & Hens.

We will be in the clubhouse from 6.30pm for cake and a chat and courts 5 to 8 and the 2 grass courts will be booked from 7pm to 9pm for the club session.

Come and meet us and give it a go!

Sunday saw the finals of the C***s and Hens Junior Winter Tournaments! 🏆
The courts were full of energy with huge rallies, lightning-fast cross-court sprints and some seriously close tie-breaks that had everyone watching on the edge of their seats! A massive well done to Rose and Sonny, who came out on top in the U15 and U12 finals after some fantastic matches.
Of course, no junior tournament is complete without a reward — so we finished the day with tea and plenty of Easter eggs for all the players!
We’ll be running more junior tournaments over the summer, so if your child wants to get involved keep an eye out for details. More details of on our junior programme are available on the club website.
