You asked, we did. There are now two desk risers in the Library! They are height adjustable, just press the handle to move them up and down. One is on the top floor and the other is in the Law Library. We also have laptop risers, book rests and mobile phone stands. Let us know what you think!

Chris Barker, our former deputy librarian who went on to be Assistant Keeper of Jesus College's Old Library, retired this year. But she came back today to receive a gift from the Master to congratulate her for working at Jesus College for 25 years. A huge thank you to our resident "Origami Girl" for this thoughtful gift! 💙 Over the year, she has delighted library staff by leaving wonderful origami creations around the library, including these two charming cats. 📚🐱✨

The card and chocolates were a lovely surprise to everyone in the office (as was the fact that she'd hidden a secret message inside one of the cats, which had been sitting on my desk for weeks!)

Our own Sarah (Assistant Librarian (Academic Skills) is now a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy! This gives accreditation to her teaching and learning support role, some of you may have direct experience of her work. Past and present students write about their experience of the Quincentenary Library, one even wrote a poem! The exhibition may be gone now for conservation reasons, but we have finished showing it on here!
