CDS member Janice Anderson is taking part in this year’s Anglian Potters Summer Exhibition in Cambridge. The show features lots of beautiful vases, plates and pots of all shapes and sizes, as well as some sculptures. Everything is for sale. The exhibition is clearly sign-posted from the main entrance to Emmanuel College.

CDS member Sachiko Purser will be exhibiting at Gallery Above and Beyond as part of the Flora & Fauna of East Anglia art exhibition. The exhibition opens on August 26, running through to September 26, 2026, at Gallery Above & Beyond in Linton, Cambridge. It showcases regional wildlife photography and local artists alongside conservation displays.

Save the date!! We’re delighted to announce that the CDS Autumn Exhibition 2026 will be from the 25th to the 31st October and that we will be back at the Pitt Building in Cambridge. There will be at least 80 artists taking part, including Katy Bailey who created the wonderful new artwork ‘A Place of Keeping’ which features on our poster and will be on display at the exhibition. Katy created our visitors favourite artwork last Autumn so won the chance to create this year’s fabulous piece.

Congratulations to CDS member Meliprints - Melissa Lhoirit who has been selected for the Print Cromer 2026 exhibition. This year’s theme is ‘Found’, and a selection of her linocut prints is on display at Cromer ARTSPACE alongside the work of many talented printmakers.

Do you love the chance to visit artists in their studios and maybe treat yourself to a new work of art? This year 71 CDS artists (listed below – a mixture of CDS Members & Friends) will be taking part in Cambridge Open Studios (COS). It’s a great way to meet the artists, chat to them about their work and see live demos, as well as buy art direct from the artists.

COS will run over the 4 weekends in July from 4-26 July (10am-5pm, free entry) . In all there will be nearly 350 artists in venues across Cambridgeshire (and CB postcodes) including in Cambridge, Ely, Saffron Walden & surrounding villages with everything from Painting to Furniture Making.

CDS Members Astrig Akseralian, Laura Chaplin, Diane Firth and Gail Hoban will be among the 24 artists and makers sharing their work at the Artists Marquee Summer Event at Burwash Manor.

On the 4 weekends of July, Burwash Manor will once again host a range of artists in their beautiful, vintage marquee. Visitors will have the chance to explore an eclectic array of artwork, from printmaking and painting to ceramics, illustration, jewellery, and crafts, along with a few delightful surprises.

CDS Member Niki Chandler is one of eight artists exhibiting in On Balance – an Exhibition of Contemporary Textiles at the Handa Gallery in Wells -Next-the-Sea. The exhibition by the group Anglia Textile Works runs from 23rd June to 5th July and is open 11-4 daily.

CDS Members Chrissie Havers, Maureen Mace Art & Karen Stamper Collage are among the artists taking part in the Society of Women Artists’ 165th Annual Open Exhibition. The exhibiton runs from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 June at the Mall Galleries, London, SW1Y 5AS (open to the public 23-24 June, 3pm-5pm & 25-27 June 10am-5pm ).

CDS Members Hilary Marshall & Vandy Massey and Angie Moyes a CDS Friend, have had pieces selected for the Yardley Arts Summer Open Exhibition, 2026. This multi-genre exhibition in Yardley Hastings, Northants runs from 25th June – 19th July, (Open Thursday – Sunday 11-5pm). The exhibition is located at Yardley Arts, The Old School Hall, The Square, Yardley Hastings, Northamptonshire NN7 1EU

Additionally, on 28th June, Yardley Arts will feature in Yardley Hastings Open Gardens with artists working live in the gardens creating a unique dialogue between artist, landscape and community.
