In 1998, Cam
bridge was home to many music events but none were dedicated to the early sound of UK Garage. A group of local UK Garage-loving DJ’s held their first event at Frames Snooker Club in April 1998 under the name Nu Vybe. After a successful run, the venue closed to club nights and Nu Vybe was forced to find a new home. In 2000 Nu Vybe relaunched as Flava Fever at the Kambar, with a DJ lineup including Davey H (Davey Hampton) - his first club gig! Davey continued to play as a resident for Flava Fever before going on to further his DJ success, most recently running the well known Casa Vida events. In Davey’s memory, we are taking it back to the start, bringing you a Nu Vybe / Flava Fever event, playing UK Garage, old and new. DJ’s on the night:
