We were thrilled to return to Trinity College Cambridge for our first team day of the academic year. 🎉

The day gave us the chance to pause and celebrate the impact of our team and achievements of our young people.

We learnt more about the exciting work taking place across our hubs, and reflected on our ambitions as we enter year two of our Beyond Barriers strategy.

With team-building, wellbeing activities and a Cambridge treasure hunt as well, it was a very valuable and fun day!

A huge thank you to Trinity College for hosting us in the beautiful Combination Room. 👏

“Villiers Park helped me realise that ambition isn’t something reserved for better off people.”

Jason Cullen recently shared his memories from a Villiers Park residential he attended in 2009.

Now, he works as a Business Development Manager at Reed in Partnership and recently fulfilled a lifelong goal of returning to Channel 4’s Countdown - as well as being crowned Series 92 Champion! 🎉

It's brilliant to be back in schools after the summer break and meeting students joining our Future Leaders programme!

📸 Meet our newest Villiers Park Future Leaders! ✨

We're proud to introduce the latest group of North Gosforth Academy students beginning their journey with the Villiers Park Future Leaders Programme.

Over the next three years, they will take part in one-to-one coaching, leadership projects, university visits, employer insight days and a range of experiences designed to help them build confidence, resilience and the skills needed to achieve their ambitions. The programme empowers young people to take control of their future, overcome barriers and make informed decisions about their next steps.

Through these opportunities, students will develop motivation, curiosity and self-belief, while learning how to create a positive impact within their school and wider community. The programme is designed to help young people realise their potential, broaden their horizons and make confident choices about education, careers and life beyond school.

We are excited to see what this talented group achieves as they begin their journey of leadership, opportunity and Creating Futures.

Students in Bedford have completed the AVEVA Challenge, developing digital solutions to local sustainability issues while building confidence, teamwork and future-ready skills.

As Year 12 student Aarav said, it was “particularly rewarding to see how creative problem-solving and technology could be combined to encourage positive behavioural change.”

A huge thank you to AVEVA for inspiring the next generation of tech talent, and to Kimberley Sixth Form College for supporting students throughout the programme.

We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with Beard, supporting young people from under-represented backgrounds across Swindon and Wiltshire.

Throughout the year, Beard colleagues will work directly with students on our Future Leaders Programme, sharing industry insight, supporting Leadership Challenge projects, and helping young people build confidence, employability skills and awareness of future career and apprenticeship routes.
