Centre for the Critical Study of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements Centre for the analysis of apocalyptic and millenarian ideas and groups, and the public dissemination based at the University of Cambridge James Crossley.

CenSAMM is an academic research centre designed to ensure that anyone will have access to quality resources to enable education, and understanding about apocalyptic and millenarian movements. Its academic directors are Dr Alastair Lockhart and Prof. CenSAMM is an initiative of the Panacea Charitable Trust in Bedford, UK and Panacea trustees, Justin Meggitt (University Senior Lecturer in the Critic

al Study of Religion, University of Cambridge, and Christopher Rowland (retired in 2014 as Dean Ireland’s Professor of the Exegesis of Holy Scripture at the University of Oxford, after teaching at the Universities of Newcastle upon Tyne and Cambridge).

"Falwell’s political activism had effects far beyond the borders of the United States. He believed that the Bible prophesied world events, and because America is not in the Bible, these prophecies concern other countries, most notably the Soviet Union and Israel. Like other dispensationalists of the Cold War era, he believed that the Bible foretold the rise of the Soviet Union in the prophecies about Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38."
