As well as recitals by individuals and small ensembles (held weekly in the Homerton Great Hall), HCMS provides larger termly concerts of orchestral, choral, and a cappella music. These also provide opportunity to showcase the college's prized steel pan band, Pandemonium. Recitals are free of charge for everyone whilst membership costs £5 a year or £12 for life. Members gain free entry to end of t

St John the Evangelist, Hills Rd
23rd May - 6.15pm

Matt Walters, AKA , Homerton College alumnus, former organ scholar, and TikTok sensation, will perform a varied programme, including music by ABBA, Coldplay, and Hans Zimmer, as well as some classical pieces and some of his own original music.

Tickets are available on the door (£12 full / £7 for non-student Homerton College Music Society members / free for students). All are welcome!

Welcome to the page of Homerton College Music Society!

Whatever style or level of music making you're interested in, we aim to help all students to get involved with music, whether as a singer, player, director, composer or listener.

The staple events of our calendar are the regular Monday lunchtime recitals, put on by both members of the College and the wider university. On top of this, we put on larger, termly concerts of orchestral, choral, and a ca****la music, which also provide an opportunity to showcase our prized steel pan band, Absolute Pandemonium.

We’re also delighted to be able to welcome musicians from outside Cambridge to Homerton. Recent events have included masterclasses with conductor Douglas Coombes MBE, and performances by The University of Victoria Philomela Women's Choir, the Ligeti Quartet, violist Hung-Yu Chen, and pianist Harry Ogg.
