Thank you so much to our lovely volunteer who has made cakes for the last few months for her Duke of Edinburgh Award, to bless our Young Parents Programme! 🍰 🧁

Our grateful mums at the Young Parents Programme made a card to say thank you! They still can't believe someone they have never met would bake for them every week 😄

They really appreciated, and were so touched by, the kind gesture!

If you would like to volunteer for Romsey Mill, whether this is for your Duke of Edinburgh Award, or just to be part of Romsey Mill’s work, we’d love to hear from you!

Please be in touch, via: [email protected]

It is Volunteers' Week from 1st to 7th June.

Romsey Mill, like other charities relies on volunteers to be able to do what we do.

We have 130 regular volunteers who help to run our weekly activities with young people, children and families.

We also have over 60 other volunteers who give their time and expertise in other ways, including as Trustees.

Jack is one of the volunteers in our Charity Shop on Mill Road. Jack was also a young participant attending our groups for autistic young people.

Read his story here https://www.romseymill.org/jacks-story

A great feature in this week’s Cambridge Independent about our former Chair of Trustees and friend of Romsey Mill, Malcom Wylie.

He has published a book about his unique fundraising adventure to plot and walk a route from John O’Groats to Land’s End, without crossing any flowing water. A total of 1,800 miles.

“Walking the British Watershed” is a great book, written by a humble and wonderful man.

Thank you Malcolm for your love and support for Romsey Mill over many years.

This is a joint initiative to counter hate and division, which aims to drive hope, build social cohesion and illustrate our collective strength at a time when hate and division threatens to pull our communities apart.
