Cambridge Students for Life - Relaunch Statement

Cambridge Students for Life (CSFL) is a Christian student society committed to a consistent ethic of human dignity across the University of Cambridge.
We believe that every human life, from conception to natural death, bears the image of God and possesses intrinsic worth.
We equip students with theological, philosophical, and scientific insight into the ethics of life, foster charitable, unflinching discussion, and offer pastoral support to those personally affected by these issues.
In an age marked by moral confusion and the erosion of innocence, we seek to speak truthfully, graciously, and without caricature or partisanship, offering a hope rooted in Christ.
We welcome the participation of all Cambridge students who want to think seriously, engage honestly, and work for justice for the unborn and vulnerable.

We are delighted to advertise Trinity Forum Cambridge's event "Fighting for Life", which will feature a conversation with Calum Miller and Lois McLatchie on the many and various challenges and opportunities involved in the struggle to defend human dignity from cradle to grave.

A medical doctor and researcher specialising in bioethics and global abortion policy, Calum Miller is one of the countryโ€™s leading international voices on pro-life issues. As a researcher and tutor at the University of Oxford, he has published in a wide array of academic journals on abortion and maternal mortality, abortion and mental health, the beginning of life, the basis of human equality, academic freedom, and other topics in medical ethics and philosophy. He has received prizes for his published work from the University of Oxford and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and also holds a Masterโ€™s Degree with Distinction in Biblical Studies.

Lois McLatchie is Senior Legal Communications Officer for the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF UK). Lois completed her LLM in Human Rights Law and worked for ADFโ€™s UN Advocacy Team at the Human Rights Council in Geneva advising on legal drafting and moral questions around human dignity. She is the author of ADFโ€™s white paper on surrogacy. She frequently features in the UK and international press and has spoken at NatCon UK.

We will begin at 6pm and we will finish at around 7:30pm, before enjoying drinks with our speakers.
